The Butcher
Has he always been this good with his feet?
Aiston
Another good game from him at least, excellent passing again.
samptime29
Been impressed. We can start attacks quickly now, his distribution has been strong. Also a really good clearance, his positioning was great tonight.
Emotic
He's learned to come a wee bit off his line during opposition attacks, and has been better for it, imo. That sweep-up of the attack in the 86th (?) minute today was something old Dubs wouldn't have done.
El Prontonise
He's worked on his positioning and coming off his line. Still hasn't had much to do in terms of actual saves though.
Ginola
Better playing out than Pope and Man Utd are too shit to make him do anything defensively. Ideal situation for him to be in net
black_n_white
So refreshing having a keeper who’s good at football, must be a high priority in the summer.
Dokko
Indian summer, feels like his form ends it here for all our keepers.

Holloway
his distribution very similar to Martinez at Villa, those precise chips to the full backs right on the byeline
The College Dropout
Beautiful passing. Well done Dubs.

HawK
The team in front of him allows him to show a side to the game we haven't seen before. This is one of our strongest teams we've had in the league imho.
christ
Kind of makes me if he was carrying any injury last season because he’s been fantastic when called upon. Couple of instances where his communication is lacking but in every other regard he looks a step above last season.

I was thinking that before because he was so reluctant to come off his line etc. He was unavailable for a little while at the start of the season as well. Newcastle Fan
Since when was he so good with his passing? maybe i got used to Pope kicking it out of play everytime he is under pressure but was really impressed buy Dubravka's passing today. HawK
Are we getting into a Given / Harper situation?

I was really worried when he first came in, and I'm still apprehensive if he faces any sustained pressure, but so far been really pleased with him. Makes passes Pope just isn't capable of and I think helps highlight how GK is a position we need to prioritise in the market.
Ashley17
Is he actually good again or have we just played a load of shite? Good with his feet but barely tested in 4 games now. Massively helped by the new "Tonali system" and us not conceding 20 shots a game like we did in his last run in the team. Mind you, him keeping possession for us is also a big help. Vaj
Makes you realise that getting a top keeper, who can pass the ball, in will be massive for us, whole team looks more assured

Also added confidence in that other facets of his game can play a part even if he's less of a shotstopper (which is called on a bit less now) than Pope. McDog
I have no issues with Dubs but Man U were utter shite in front of goal today.
Pilko
Since he came in we've really tightened up the shots on target we've allowed: Leicester: 1 shot on target Brentford cup: 3 shots on target (1 goal) Ipswich: 2 shots on target Villa: 1 shot on target Man U: 1 shot on target We've only conceded 8 shots on target in 5 games. Take out the Wissa tap in for Brentford and that's 7 shots on target, of which I can only remember a good one on one save vs Brentford when he came rushing out being anything above what you'd call "routine" or certainly where if he lets it in we're calling it an error. Arguably the Smozdics one vs Ipswich is better than routine, actually, on reflection. His handling, work with his feet and general demeanour has been much better than some of the clown shoes showings from last season but let's not get too carried away with him just yet. The defence have been superb and have thankfully given him not too much work to do beyond the ordinary. Edited December 30, 2024 by Pilko
