Sima
All you ever hear from mackems when wanting a new manager, they can't seem to get away from ex-sunderland players and ex-sunderland managers. Proper weird like. Whether it’s wilful ignorance or not, a lot of them have zero knowledge of any football personnel outside of their existing orbit. Guest
We at least go out of the cup before the Christmas decorations come down, they’re out before they’ve even had the chance to put them up.

Proper weird like. Good old days, honest white lads, new people are scary and different. They’re insular as fuck. They’re usually praying for a dreeyem teeyem of Paolo and Keane. Exiled in Texas
They got so used to always getting a new-manager bounce during their Premier Escape years that they cannot fathom that its not automatic. Now that they have to work for a few wins, and they are not freebies that come with a new manager contract, they are struggling.

Guest chopey
How come they can cancel a league game but not a cup match? Didn't Wolves get fined a few years ago for fielding a weak team in the FA Cup before a big league game?
Paully
They love an extra time defeat to Gillingham!
manorpark
OUT of the FA Cup "two rounds before" the big clubs even join in !! If nothing else teaches them that they are a genuine Third Division Club now, then that fact should do the job. Out of the cup two rounds before (historically) they should even enter it ! Disco
Ross lost 10 in 75, Parky has lost 5 in 9. "Difficult" fixture at the weekend against their old foes from Chinventry. Crowd could turn if they get beat IMO.

Think they're just planning on opening up the one stand again, like they've done for their past 2 home fixtures, to reduce the impact of negative crowd reaction. Guest chopey
My mates a sensible Sunderland fan and even he says he want's the manager gone, the team is noticeably worse since he took over with no real positives

Exiled in Texas
Coventry, Bristol City and Sunderland had been battling to avoid relegation on the last day of the 1976-77 season. The Mackems reckon that Jimmy Hill purposely delayed the start of the Coventry-Bristol City, so that they would know what they needed to do compared to Sunderland result. The game did start later than Sunderlands game and when news broke that Sunderland had lost, Coventry and Bristol City played out the game to a draw and Sunderland were relegated. And they are still bitter about it https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/football-news/coventry-city-digest-day-jimmy-11356276

Guest
Title should just be Sunderland again. There’s nothing abnormal about their position anymore, it’s just who they are.
