Love that he always looks for that raker cross field ball for the runner.

Didn't come off too much today but it doesn't deter him.

Glad he's got looks on his side because the bloke is getting some kind of brain trauma come retirement the amount of head injuries he suffers.

His long range passing was dreamy today

Think we've just become used to how brilliant he is at it

One of the very best in the league at it. Who’s better in central defence in the league? Guehi is a very good passer from there but I can’t think of many players that rival him on the pass

Comms act like they are, too. Barely a mention every time he pings a ball.

Not just this game man

Are there other games this season he's been a standout poor player?

All the comments in the previous couple pages are about how he's been back to his best.

Cost us at Fulham as well. Got nowhere near their striker.

Everyone was shite at Fulham.  Bit harsh to single him out.

He also scored a screamer the game before to drive us on to beat Wolves.

Appreciate you worded your post as a question, not a statement, but with how good he's been for us the past few years I think it's fair to give him the benefit of the doubt.

He's only 32, hardly that old for a CB.

I'm sorry but those passes to Lewis Hall in the first half from our goal kicks were pure sex

He was wrapping his foot around them so much I thought they'd end up behind him.

He's still excellent, but there are occasional signs that he's on the wane a bit. A few times in the last few weeks he's gone haring out wide for a slide tackle and missed it by absolutely miles. You'd like to think Eddie can offer him some advice on how to remain super effective when his legs are starting to go.

Botman coming back will probably help to cover some of these issues and we can hopefully continue to enjoy his fantastic distribution and occasional banger goal for a while longer yet.

He might get caught for pace on occasions, but his positional sense is still great. He was in the right place for the last ditch blocks a few times last night.
