Assume his chance will come this weekend or spurs. I am sure based on where he is at carear wise he knew the day would come he wouldnt be an automatic starter.

Great for the new lad but didn't do anything to be dropped other than taking a head/brain beating.

Same happened with Targett a few years back, just one of those things. He’ll get plenty of games this season still though.

Targett was slightly different I recall him getting a chance and then breaking down to a long term injury. Followed by issues getting just fit enough for selection and then turned into an expensive forgotten man.

Agreed still a long season to go and plenty of games i do wonder if come the summer if playing time continues to be limited if he would accept another rolling year or not with us. Seems really settled here and still can offer us something if he accepted a back up roll.

Whenever the likes of Fab, Burn, Joe, Tripps etc do finally leave, I wish we could give each one a testimonial game. Everyone of them have been integral to turning round this club.

When was the last testimonial for the club? Not sure what the requirement is for one.

Schar turns 34 in a couple of months and has played a hell of a lot of football since Howe came in.

It's the perfect time for him to transition to more of a rotation player. He's probably appreciating the break!

Those horror years under Bruce when he was stuck on the he bench behind the likes of Clark and Lascelles, I don't even recall him kicking off then, when it would have been fully justified.

I'll be surprised if he does that now. Think he'll still play a good number of games this season.

Must be a bit sucky for him right now. Since Howe came in he's basically been (deservedly) picked every game he's been fit for nearly 4 years and now he's suddenly lost his place through no fault of his own.

I mean that's football and that's why you want competition, but still, must be a bit sucky.

He doesn't strike me as the type who would appreciate a break. The daft beggar would rather try to play on with a bandage and concussion than come off the pitch.

Feels harsh that he lost the shirt through injury but that's he way it is unfortunately. Main issue getting back in, apart from Thiaw and Botman forming a good partnership, is that without Tino, Thiaw is the only stopping us having the slowest backline in the league [emoji38]
