Leicester City owner amongst 5 killed in helicopter crash at King Power stadium

Recommended Posts

Crash happened at around 8.38pm. Most eyewitness accounts state tail rotor failure.

(Peter) Shilton’s wife, Stephanie, said: “We are both in shock on our way home. It happened straight in front of us as we were leaving the ground. We don’t know what has happened. It’s horrendous. We need to know if everyone is OK. That’s the biggest thing. We just hope that everyone got out OK.”

It took off from the centre of the pitch with all the floodlights still on and BT still live on air. Everyone knows who was on board, they're just waiting until all family members are informed before making the statement.

Basically this. There is even alleged footage of the people onboard walking towards the helicopter before it took off.

The only reason there hasn't been news for so many hours.

Would a drone bring down a chopped in this manner? I just thought these days fans use drones etc, could have been filming or waiting for the players like some have said and filming on the drone,  with it being dark at night they are very difficult to spot.

Needless speculation

Two pilots, the owner and his daughter all confirmed to have been on the chopper.

A fifth passenger is yet to be named.

Extremely unlikely that a drone would take a helicopter out.  Also, drones are a massive no-no at football matches.

Don't get why people can't accept that things sometimes break and things sometimes go wrong.  People keep trying to invent some nefarious event that caused that helicopter to crash.  Pure speculation and completely un-needed during tragedies such as this.
