That's a real shitter tbh. We had Matt Ritchie on tonight again ffs.

Lost in the delirium of the late winner was how truly useless Ritchie was when he came on, guy offers absolutely nothing.

Was looking for news about his aborted international callup, hoping that it was just a ploy to get him to stay home instead of travelling. Thought it was to keep him ready for Man Utd at home. Ffs six weeks, is he even going to comback this season? What's our next game in 6 weeks?

Everton away on April 27th then Southampton home on April 30th are right about six weeks from now.

Those seem like the earliest we could see him. Five games before that Everton fixture.

If he misses both of those then there'll only be five games left when he gets back. Also he'll presumably need time to get sharp again after a lay off.

Hopefully he'll be a good option off the bench in the run in and one of the others will have stepped up at RW.

Injuries will always happen and it's no different for any club.

Miggy has been pretty resilient with injuries when you consider his pace and overall never say die work rate.

I'd call this more of a much needed rest and replenishment rather than any negative, only because we have more than adequate cover for him.

Considering how high intense we are as a unit and the high press in most games, I'd say we do pretty well on the injury front and that has to be down to how me manage it under Howe as opposed to how we did manage it under other regimes.

Could our Paraguayan Prince be back sooner than expected?

I honestly thought the '6 weeks' line from Howe could be to throw people off. Just seemed weird to me the club or Almiron would tell the international manager a figure that was so off what Howe was claiming the be the timeframe.

Never really known Miggy to be out with injury for a prolonged length of time. In fact I can't recall him having an injury in all his time here tbh. If his leg snapped in half he'd probably be back on the pitch with it wrapped in parcel tape the next week.

He had quite a bad hamstring that ended his first season under Rafa.

But yes, his fitness record is a definite strength.

I think Miggy went to see Oscar Goldman and it seems he's coming back, better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster.

That one’s gonna be lost on a few but it beats the hell out of Office quotes

Mindgames by the master, This wasnt a overestmation howe always exaggerates injurys to keep people guessing

Howe is great at this and does it all the time. Remember the Isak concussion? This would have been cut and dry once his concussion was diagnosed there would be no way he'd make the next match. Howe managed to never really confirm or deny anything and people were guessing right up till KO.

New bionic right leg with precise crossing/shooting mode? [emoji38]

We all know his bionic right leg would just take the gallowgate roof off with a shot from the 6 yard line
