He needs moved on. He spent two years under Bruce playing pretty much every role but the one he was signed for. If he'd at all played consistently as an attacking midfielder you'd have my agreement. Unfortunately for Almiron he had a strong start under Rafa, who knew what he was buying, and then was basically a glorified water carrier for Bruce that was used to make up for the fact he couldn't organise a team so had Almiron chasing around as a box to box midfielder. He's played more games out of position than he has in position, including on the right wing, which he's never been his entire career. At least on the left wing you could say he was fast and should be able to transition. https://www.transfermarkt.us/miguel-almiron/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/272999/verein/762 Just look at his numbers. He played 30 games as an ACM and scored nine goals and registered three assists. That's more than fine. I don't mind people saying it hasn't worked for him here or that he doesn't have a future, but the ignorance to the role our club has played in all this by forcing him out of position and not doing anything to accommodate him drives me a bit crazy. Hard working and fast does not equal headless chicken.

It's a shame as you can't fault him for effort, but he's just not good enough for where the club want to be.

Hard working and fast does not equal headless chicken. I don't even think he managed a single goal under Benitez tbh. He just looks out of his depth as a footballer at this level. Looked good in the MLS and playing against weaker opposition for his country but I dont't see any future for him here. At 27 he's probably not got mich improvement in him either. We won't get our money back for him when we do sell him either.
Aiston
The build up in that chalked off goal from Almiron, oh my god it was amazing. He'll probably do fuck all else now mind.
wormy
Good shift and linked up well with Bruno more than once. Good game.
Fantail Breeze
Think he suits Howe’s tactics well, shame his end product is so dreadful.
PlymouthGeordie
Thought he linked up really well with Bruno and played between the lines really well first half. Second half not so much but there is a player in there. Whether his future I'd with us I'm not sure. Bruce's "style" of football literally nullified every attribute this kid has. Lush Vlad
He was better on the ball than Fraser usually is. Spotted some nice passes. Always works hard and he is as fit as a flea. Just not really a wide man that will carry the ball or look to get in behind too often.
David Edgar
Him and Fraser are a much of a muchness from what I can see. Both are limited and need moving on.
Joey Linton
Most he's contributed to the team in absolutely ages that.
Mattoon
One of his better performances for us since he first came in under Rafa, some intelligent movement and passes and as has been said seems to have an innate chemistry with Bruno.
duo
Deserves a start imo
Holloway
He's one of a number of our attacking players who's finishing is way below the required level. The scuffed shots club
Thiago
I'm so pleased for him and I hope he gets his flowers tonight. He had to do a lot defensively, but when he got the ball and had runners ahead he found them with well-timed passes. I try to focus on what these lads are, not what they aren't, and he's an industrious winger that can provide a moment of quality when surrounded by players giving him the chance. Guest HTT II
Huff and puff, no end product, did link up well with Bruno at times, but several times they played a quick one two and he just stopped. Zero footballing brain. Cash in, in the summer.
Mattoon
If Fraser is crocked then I think he's bought himself a deserved run in the first team
Mountain
Nice lad who works hard every game. Lovely little flick today for that first goal. Unfortunately he's just not good enough.
Dandy Man
Played very well imo, we all know about his limitations but linked up nicely several times and was generally a big step back in the right direction compared to most of last year or two
Astroblack
Can’t ever be mad at this lad. Gives his all and probably was integral to keeping us up last season.

Barnes23
Thought he played very well tonight. some real quality in his decision making which has been absent in the past. Deserves a sustained run in the team if Fraser is out - it does feel like the rest of the season could be defining for him in terms of his future here, one way or the other. Wouldn’t be surprised if he plays at home and Murphy plays away.
