I’ll miss this lad, should this come to pass. Delighted he got to star in a local derby before leaving if he does go. Many more important contributions, but that will be my most vivid memory of him. Relentless pursuit of the ball. He’ll similarly destroy many Saudi defences, entertaining many and earning shitloads. We’ll see him back in the future, like a modern day Nobby (maybe even speaking fecking English!).

just when he started to use his right foot anarl.

The possible salary is all well and good, but at the end of the day you’re still in the middle of the fucking desert.

I reckon I could put up with it for a year, if it meant me being £12m richer.

Surprised at this, I thought he signed a new deal not that long ago?

For me it feels a bit like the Maxi transfer in terms of really liking the guy and the efforts he puts in, but my simple acid test is that pretty much no other top ten team would touch him, which says a lot to me.

A semi decent replacement coming in and we’d barely be talking about him within a few days.

Can't see him leaving. Murphy isn't close to a return. I guess we can shoehorn Barnes or Gordon there but like selling Wilson, we would need two replacements as we are already short.

Also like Wilson and Trippier, we won't get more money for them than we will right now. I get why he would be on the list of options to sell. Would mean bringing in a much better RW this window though. I'd take the upgrade as much as I'd love to keep miggy as squad depth.

He has a reported market value of around €30m, so if you can get between that and €40m for him as "fair value" then it's a sensible transfer with Murphy and Barnes due back.

His energy is unparalleled but at some point you have to trade that in for actual quality.

Meanwhile, back in the real world.....

This was nearly a week ago.

"Howe has confirmed the winger is back in light training. Expected return: Fulham (A) - 27/01"

I don't rate Miggy, but in the current market, £25-30m to a Saudi club isn't unrealistic like, when you look at what they've spunked on other players.

In terms of contributions, he's been far more valuable for us over the past 12 months than ASM ever was for example, and he fetched a similar fee.

Wouldn't let him go to Saudi for less than that.

The problem is it feels like we are under super scrutiny and waiting for liverfool and Tottenham to jump on anything. It felt like it went the other way for asm on that basis and under valued.

Don't really get how you can even set a market value.  All depends how much a team wants a player. Caicedo going anywhere for 115 mill is crazy

Think we can change the thread name now - Jacobs is a notorious shit talker and always has been.

Well he's caused a shitstorm on this place for no reason if he's made it all up.

I wonder if we are already at the breaking FFP point chaps.

Feels like since Everton and Forrest got done we have shit the bed and we are throwing players around left right and centre to sell.

Or,,,, if just could all be a pile of turd.

It feels like we are hawking our players around a bit, this  Miggy deal certainly feels like it's more club led than the player himself wanting to go.
