Issue with that is that it still comes down to one persons opinion, there is no 'fact' in the decision

 

When nowhere near the ball going high and straight into a players ankle out of control should always be a red without much ambiguity. The ambiguity comes when player is on the borderline in terms of how fast teh tackle, if they just touch the ball a bit. This tackle should be a red every time

Agreed, should let the general public vote on twitter on whether he should be sent off ?

The referee needs to be making that decision, he knows how he has refereed the full game, he knows if there is any 'previous' between those players etc. Unless it is a fact let the referee make the decisions via VAR assistance if needed
