Why shouldn't a free-kick taker be able to place the ball further back if he wants to from the point the foul took place for a free-kick? If it's too close to get the ball up then down, why should the attacking team be penalised? As long as it's in the same line from goal to goal, the free-kick taker should be able to move the ball back as far as I'm concerned.

Just seeing the Ward-Prowse one there and Alan Smith talking about how he was maybe trying to place the ball a bit further back when the ref wasn't looking made me think that should be acceptable anyway.

Fantastic result for Wolves.

Massively ramps the pressure up on us.

Wolves will surely be absolutely nowhere near us come May? I know they've got that evil and dealy European competition to contend with but they're bound to finish mid-table at least.

Can't wait for Liverpool to bottle this one

Can't see if happening this year. It's all falling into place for them.

Agree. The 8 point gap will take all the pressure off if anything.

Which sets up the bottle nicely.

Fuck off Liverpool.

Starting to find Klopp really annoying now as well although this is probably coloured by a boatload of jealousy.

glad its not just me who finds him annoying (though I've always found him rather irritating even at Dortmund)
