Could argue we should have got in at halftime leading but when LeJeune went off and Benteke come on, we got done tactically. They switched it round, we got sucked in and they've got the players who can break. Not sure why it took them so long and obvious but worked a treat. They had another couple of breaks before that where they should have done better so it was coming. Benteke should have really scored and I think Dummett had a toe end interception where it would have been one on one with our keeper. For all the stats will say we did ok in that half, did we really have a proper chance? Loads of proverbial huffing and puffing but nowt what you could say was a proper chance.

Reminded me of the Wolves game at home a bit. Seemed to unnecessarily play into what they are good at.

Shelvey was tripe as well.

Rondons first was probably the best, if he hit it first time he scores but think the player coming across put him off from doing so.

Could tell Almiron was going to lose it. Not sure why he was delaying so long.

He had so much time to release the ball, was frustrating to watch. He played so well otherwise, up to that point.

Absolutely dreadful.

There's massive investment needed if we're going to get ourselves promoted into the mid-table league. We need: RWB, LWB, CM and Rondon if we're going to do that. Who knows what's going to happen with our centre-mids but it looks like both Hayden and Shelvey will be off.

So much work to do. Terrified we're going to do absolutely bugger all other than stand still and in 12 months time we'll be sat here saying the same thing again. It doesn't have to be that way.

Honestly think we need a striker with pace to change things up also.

I know he saved one last year but Dubravka never seems to get near penalties.  Swear Milo nearly always hits them to the keepers right

I was thinking that. They're rarely top corner either. His record's class, but I don't think his penalties are anything special in the way someone like Kane's are.

Weren't three of the shots tricklers from outside the box by Ki? They're never going to go in.

Better finishing and we'd have taken a lead that would have changed their approach and possibly opened them up for more, but we weren't good enough to make it happen. This week stands as a reminder of where we are. We can be completely, 100% completely, shut down by a genuinely good side like Arsenal, and can do so-so well against lower half clubs but still not have the talent to put games away. If you are emotionally invested in the team, there is some entertainment in there somewhere, but the feeling has to be that the people who have walked away from it all are the clever ones.

f***ing sick of Zaha going down in the box and getting a penalty every time, seem to be the only tactic these f***ers have. Was a foul for them winning the ball off us. Absolutely robbed us blond today, getting that amount of luck and cheating does pay off.

Was a clear penalty, what are you going on about?

Was a clear foul when they won the ball off us to go up and get the penalty. You can’t not give that foul, then give the penalty.

Yedlin was the worst player on the pitch. Shelvey had a terrible cameo. Ritchie was his usual shiite self, lots of huff and puff but consistently poor delivery. Almiron best player on the park (for us, overall best player was Zaha) followed by Ayoze and Rondon.

It's such a shame Ki can't shoot to save his life. All well and good passing the ball sideways nicely but the type of CM he is means he'll always get shooting opportunities because of his positioning, and it's just a massive waste to have a CM of that type who cant even threaten a decent shot.

Milivojevic is set to break the Premier League record for penalties goals in a season

Currently held by ex Palace player Andy Johnson who also somehow got as many as 11 too.

I read earlier on in the season that Palace have had more penalties in the Premier League than us despite playing 200 less games or something

Should just be renamed Crystal Penalty F.C. at this point.

Not watched the game but when you have 18 shots on goal and fail to score you have nobody but yourselves to blame.

My thoughts exactly. Too many of our games are like this, despite  what look like good additions to the squad like Almiron, there still seems to be a lack of conviction in the final third.

Watch the match first. We played well and definitely didn't deserve to lose. Rondon bears the blame up front and Yedlin's 100% to blame for their penalty. It wasn't really an overall team problem, we dominated it.

We barely created anything and we gave a stupid penalty away.

Grim match to watch.

Very poor today, absolutely awful penalty to give away.

It felt harsh walking out of the stadium after controlling the game so well but we didn’t create enough from the dominant positions we had and Palace took there’s when it was handed on a plate. Wan Bissaka was the difference in that game, he had Richie’s number in the first half and somehow made that last ditch tackle in the second at 0-0.

I thought Rondon battled really hard but didn’t offer much of a threat. Hayden was our best player again in my opinion.

Why are people going on about that "we didn't create enough"? Problem is to convert chances into goals, not getting the chances in the first place.

We created plenty.

But the job of football is putting it into the net, we didnt.

I can take losing against Palace at home in a game we were the better team. I can take losing to that penalty against most teams in the league. What pisses me off is that Crystal fucking Palace win another game from a soft-ish penalty, in a game when that's their only shot on target. 10 penalties scored this season by Milivojevic is fucking ridiculous, and it would have been similar numbers last season as well. Absolutely rank losing to a team which main attacking threat is hoping to get a penalty, both because we should be more careful in our box but also because that tactic is about as minging as the Pulis long throw and that refs keep buying it.
