Possible plausible scenario - the Sheikh has got a bit ahead of himself in leak but Ashley knowing he can cancel the sale all the way up to the last signature wants it known there is significant interest to hurry along any competitive bids but doesn't want it seen as a done deal that would put them off, so he has told everyone to deny paperwork gone to FA and told FA they can't confirm they have received anything from him or something. FA could just be slow and unwilling to admit anything anyway

Seeing 'Newcastle' on the list of potential destinations for players like Mbappe, Ramos and Bale is just plain f***ing weird.  Gonna take a hell of a lot of getting used to if this actually happens

We're not getting daft levels of money to spend, people don't think that do they? Normal owners pls, grow commercial revenue maybe invest a bit. Keep Rafa and build the club slowly. That's all we need.

Anyone who thinks we have a chance in hell of signing Mbappe is off their tits. We will at least be able to compete for players below that level though, assuming the new owner is serious about Newcastle.

I know they claim that MA has signed paperwork, and hopefully that is true... but other than that, this seems to be going all 'Staveley' again.

One side appears to be doing all the running and noise making, until Fatboy gets 'frustrated' and pulls the plug with 'Timewasters'. Remember, Staveley showed Caulkin the bids she'd submitted, but MA/the club claimed no bids were made.

Lets hope this latest statement prompts some sort of official response from MA's side, so we can either get on the bandwagon, or hoy wa'sells in the Tyne.

No, he said no serious bid was made, and it wasn’t. This is nothing like staveleys bid, we’re much further on than that, I’m really struggling to understand posts like this.

I believe but Ashley man, you know that twat at some point will open his fat face and fuck us all over yet again. Rafa walks and half the population of Tyneside tops themselves.

Ashley no commenting is the best thing we can hear right now while shit gets sorted out. Wheels are in motion and will take some time to complete. If Ashley says anything it will be negative and the deal has hit the rocks. So let’s be happy he’s happy by saying no comment. He really doesn’t need to do any talking right now, he’s more than likely waiting like the rest of us wanting a positive result. Should nothing come unstuck at their end that’s exactly what we will get.

BZG are only commenting because of the intense media investigation and the fans demanding to know they next step, then when they give it they get questioned on why they are so vocal. Couldn’t make it up.

So does over 70% of the forum actually think this will happen

Seems it.

I don't believe it'll happen cos we're not allowed nice things and mainly because of Ashley.

But I'm fairly certain that it's a legit attempt and 100% sure it's not Keith Bishop.
