Guest
The “Before that, let’s be fair, they couldn’t win a corner” line has me. This season total corners: 19. Crystal Palace - 110 20. Newcastle - 85 We’re literally the worst team in the league under Bruce at winning corners.
Dan Gleebals
All shite managers, of which we have had many, follow the same well trodden path. Once they start to get challenged (and rightly so) it's never their fault. As many have said, he has made decisions on players and has every right to change the team formation, tactics and players within the position. He would get a little more respect if he actually tried things out, took a beating or three in the process, if it was obvious he was trying to improve the quality of football and mould the team around his football philosophy, if he had one. Reality is, Bruce will never do that. He is simply not capable of it. He does not have a blue print.. No point in trying to work him out as his managerial career confirms exactly what he is/not capable of. Most if not all clubs he has been at have declined and most say the football confirms that. stlouismag
Just a friendly reminder that the club paid £4 million compensation to Wednesday for the privilege of putting Brucie in the driver's seat.

Infinitely Content
Staggering quote that. Is he honestly claiming professional football players can't pass the ball around? Many of the same players who were doing it just fine last season? Individually they're all more than capable, there's a fine line between most players playing at the top level, the difference is made by coaches instilling belief and encouraging a brand of football which allows players to bring forth their talent (just look at Brighton, Sheff Utd). What an awful, awful quote.
WarrenBartonCentrePartin
He really can’t be too far off a full-blown meltdown, like. It’s obvious he hasn’t got a clue and despite the majority of local reporters trying to cover his back, I think the fans - mainly at away games - will turn. Infinitely Content
Also what on earth will the players be thinking hearing a quote like that? Class man-manager Bruce like.

It's making sure he creates problems in the group by publicly saying they're too shit for him. Moron.

First with that Craig Hope commentary on Sunday Supplement, then that article in the Times this morning about how only brilliant Dubravka is keeping us clear of relegation. Tiotes Witch Doctor
Thing is I've noticed, just as the vultures start to circle around Bruce he seems to manage a bit of luck to get a win or a performance out of the team, hes had quite a bit of criticism since Norwich and I wouldn't be surprised if we go out and pump Oxford tonight and the usual suspects will be singing his praises again. Anyone who knows even a little bit about football and Bruce himself, and particularly this club knows that even if we do stay up, even if get top 10.. the fall is coming, whether it be next season or the season after, this man can't take us anywhere, regardless of money and owners, but at least more people seem to be noticing the signs. It's like a shitter version of the Pardew 5th season this.

midds
That's exactly the type of quote that gets mangers sacked. Players will read that and think "fuck you". 100% throwing them under the bus. You expect good managers to back his players in public, Bruce has just done the exact thing good mangers never do.

Robster
If he botches the Oxford game, how long before the bootlickers turn on him? He's got a pass tonight as Rafa's NUFC lost 3-0 to Oxford. Well lose 2-0 and Luke Edwards will claim what an improvement on Rafa he is.
