He's been carrying and playing with a knee injury for months. It's why he didn't play in the three games prior to West Ham in the cup final run up. Dealing and managing injuries is something we've got to get better at as a club. Now in this instance it's been proven to be the correct strategy as we won the trophy but several players have either been very unlucky or mismanaged when it comes to injury.

This season, our management of injuries has been excellent. To be any better, we'd have had no injuries.

Has been getting quite a few injuries the last two seasons..

He’s built like a shithouse, gets around the pitch, gets involved. They will start to rack up now, why we need a good CM so he can be rotated more (and because his style isn’t needed for all games as we have Tonali that can bring the combative side in games).

Good game for him to rest if he needs it, we were never going to really need him against Ipswich.

Agree, but we don't really know what the result of his assessment is yet. It could be he is ruled out for the rest of the season if it's felt it needs to be fixed immediately. Hopefully not obviously, but the last I heard he was seeing a specialist and we take it from there.

a few of us expecting a loss to brighton, whoever we pick.

ive almost accepted we're getting beat.

good job eddie wont be thinking like that.

I was kind of expecting a loss at Villa and would have absolutely taken a point before kick off, but I'm more confident for Brighton.

Tough game sure, but they needed a couple of worldies to beat a poor West Ham team yesterday. If Eddie and the team get the tactics right I'm hoping for at least a point.
