mighty__mag
The Express are desperate to make a story about ASM leaving this window. Three made up stories this week.

Conjo
Would be interesting to see them start, but they've obviously benefited coming on against tired legs as well so not sure Howe will start them as long as things are going as well as they are. HawK
It's nice to hear that he thinks he's doing as much as he can, and then some. Would have to be a right snide fker to be as 2-faced to say that and then it not be the case, and I don't think him to be like that. Dispells the 'lazy French flair player' myth that often gets touted about on Twitter etc.
TRon
He looked as up for it as I've seen for a long time on Tuesday night, Eddie also gave him a big hug and encouragement which makes me think they are both ready for him starting. Can't wait.
frankpingel
Aye he looked more fluid and athletic in his movement. Let's hope it's his turn to prove himself.
Ikon
His absolute best is yet to come at this club. He can be levels above what he has been so far overall. Just gotta stay fit and the rest will come. Edited January 27, 2023 by Ikon
Thomson Mouse
He’ll be gone in the summer, nailed on. He’s a luxury Ginola type player and will never cover the ground that Howe wants. Happy for him to go tbh.
timeEd32
I've thought for awhile that the only chance he stays is if we qualify for the CL. Otherwise I think he's first on the list to sell to help fund improvements elsewhere.

Guest
I was just playing Magic the Gathering with him, he said "Mate, those bellends have no idea. I can't leave, I've got an ASBO ankle bracelet that will go off the moment I step outside of the NE postcodes. Also, I don't have a passport. I traded it in for a mint condition First-Edition Crystal Charizard."
SiLvOR
I'd be quite gutted if we got rid of him. Yes, he can be frustrating, something I've voiced, but he really does seem to have bought into Eddie's instruction. He looked incredibly sharp the other night, and I think he's in for a start Tuesday, which will kick him on. Have complete faith that he'll be here for a while, and thrive. Ikon
Nothing to worry about here. At least not until the summer.
IzzyIsak
It means no more Murphy before no more ASM.
80
If I had to put money on his future, that's where I'd put it. As things stand he can leave here with his head held high, though. And therefore, I still hope he does get back in the team as he's clearly got a lot to give. But it might just be a style incompatibility.
mikejaxer
Be a shame if ASM leaves like, you can tell he's trying to play how Howe wants and he's done well off the bench.
IzzyIsak
We are going go be in Europe next season, you kind of need double the amount of players in the squad anyway. ASM will get plenty of game time even if he isn't first choice.

There will be skilful players out there who can properly cover their left back. He isn’t one of them.
80
Bearing in mind Southampton need to come here and attack, leaving themselves open at the back, and we have a crucial game half a week later, you'd think it would be ideal for ASM to start. Giving Longstaff or Willock a rest in the process. If that doesn't happen, you'd have to think that means something for the long term. Unless whatever injury or illness he's been dealing with has been even worse than we realise.

Wolfcastle
Don't think he has a long-term here primarily because of ffp and not sure he'll be okay alternating, but it would be great if he was as that would be three top wide men. Like to see Gordon as an upgrade on Murphy that's going to alternate with ASM/Miggy than a replacement.
