Red card, but calling it a coward's tackle is a bit daft like  his studs are high but it clearly wasn't malicious, just clumsy.

It’s the sort of tackle you make where you don’t want to hurt yourself. Easy to use going for the ball as an excuse.

Nonsense.

That could have done his knee man.

Applauded off too.

Because it wasn’t a red.

Didn't see much complaining from our lot about it, Longstaff included. Also surely VAR checked it as well?

Didn’t see any var check, might be wrong though.

They check every goal and every incident in the box. They're bound to be checking something as massive as a red card. These are checked automatically and the referee is informed that he may want to stop the game for a second if they think theres something, which is when you see the pause and the VAR check thing on the big screen.

You can't always see a VAR check.

Don’t be a nob, I’m watching th game and it didn’t look like there was anything apart from the ref giving the red.

That could have done his knee man.

It wasn't at pace at all - it was the second part of the challenge. No real risk of harm other than a graze.

Still pictures show nothing man.

MLS definitely made Almiron look better than he is.

Two chances he has fluffed today, we could have been out of sight long before the red card.

Joelinton played a blinder as the invisible man too

It's not like, completely accidental.

Funny, Almiron looked terrific under Rafa. Almost like a massive step-down in managerial quality affects a player’s performance.
