Will give him the benefit of the doubt. He's played little football for a sustained period now.

Feel a bit sorry for Osula though - he'd have been a better fit today.

In fairness, how could he not be rusty as hell, it's been so long since he played competitively regularly.  Can forgive him a little bit for not getting his head up better.

The bigger issue is, even if he gets a run of games I think even last year it was becoming clear injuries have taken too much from him to be effective at this level.

Will be useful as an extra poacher option if we are chasing a goal but not much more, he won't have the athleticism anymore.

I know he’s had ages out. But my word is he finished at this level.

Thats the point, he’s played so little football you can’t judge him at all. Don’t think we should give him a contract mind

More bothered about wrestling with CBs most of the time now.

Completely finished.

I was watching in the pub with a load of neutrals. Basically predicted this when he came on.

I said he’d get in a load of physical battles with CB’s for no reason. Lo and behold that’s exactly what he did.

It is very frustrating because Osula would've caused some serious trouble for Wolves with those chances Wilson had.

Wilson was probably preferred for his experience, Howe trusting he would have better decision making. And well, that didn't turn out great.

So now we are left with either trying to play the old, injury-ridden striker back into form or giving the minutes to the young inexperienced guy.

Such a greedy play towards the end there. Also similar one earlier where he could have squared it to Tonali.

think eddie would have been fuming too.

Not so sure. Eddie, as much as I’d back his judgment on players he’s worked with for so long, has a real blind spot where Wilson is concerned.

There’s a few he has blind spots for.

Wilson needs a run of 5-10 games before he finds any sort of form and when was the last time he played more than 10 consecutive games?

Considering how much pressure we were under with only a goal in it, those plays from Wilson were completely unacceptable.

Very unprofessional from him with all the experience he has. Stuff Osula would do.

In hindsight it probably went towards costing us the cup final against Man U. They were a very ordinary side having a poor season, but we went in there with Wilson who did nothing on the day. I think it's fair to say Isak might have caused them a few more headaches.

I actually think Osula makes the pass on at least one of those tbh.

Wilson was looking out for number 1 not once but twice!

Was incredibly disappointing.

This has always been Wilson. The team have just progressed and he’s stood still / got less fit.

i think he’d be a good fit for Arsenal who need 2-3 strikers.

Reminded me of another 4-3 game where Ginola did something similar. What slim chance he had under Dalglish was gone after that.

I didn't see that stuff as I was driving. Will have to look at the extended highlights. I hate that greedy shit, unless you are a savant like Isak, even then.......

He did, but by that time, it was game over.
