ExiledGeordie
I’m surprised Osula doesn’t get more of a look in, Wilson looks miles off it
El Prontonise
Like I understand the throwing him on for the first 3/4 games but now it's like they are trying to do him a favour etc. Quite weird. Has he even had a proper chance on the sub cameos?
Jonas
I'm saying this as someone who doesn't rate Osula and will be shocked if has a PL career with anyone but at least there's a chance of him doing something, being a nuisance at worst.
midds
The only possible reason for bringing him on before Osula is for his experience, nothing else. However, that becomes irrelevant when you take into account how slow he's become and completely detached from the game, he can't even get anywhere near the ball, what's the point? Cornah
Read somewhere Osula may be George Weah’s Grandson..
Decky
We are absolutely desperate for depth up front. Should have sold him two years ago.
Skeletor
Another striker is an absolute must.
Danh1
Just a waste of time now. Been great for us, but he needs to go in the summer. Offers nowt at all, don’t think Osula is the answer by any means but at least he brings energy and pace. Edited April 19 by Danh1
r0cafella
The talk about him coming on and banging them in which occurred before he returned seems to have gone
Kanj
It’s just sad because not too long ago Wilson was playing his best football of his career scoring key goals for us to help secure 4th. Just really hurts to see him this way. Love the guy.

TheBrownBottle
It’s desperately sad watching him at this point. I love him as a centre forward, I think he’s right up there in the PL era for us. But all we’re watching now is a player reducing his goals to games ratio. Make it stop.

Arguably it's not doing him much favours in terms of finding a club for next season as well.
joeyt
Only thing I can think is because he's part of the 'leadership group' and he may kick up a fuss if Osula starts getting his minutes Seems the coaching setup are a bit blinded by loyalty with Wilson
TK-421
He started the match against Birmingham, and scored (in a fashion), but in all the sub appearances since, I don't remember him even getting a shot off. It is sad to see, really. He's just proving that he's not a very effective back up option anymore.
wiseman
He's always been incredibly confident in his ability for good reason, but recently i wouldnt be surprised if he's disappointed in his performances and decides to hang up the boots in the not too distant future because of it
Pilko
I could just about accept the "bringing him on for his experience" narrative if we were closing out a tight game, where Osula's wildcard nature probably wouldn't make sense. But the last three times he's come on, we've been 3 goals up, 5 goals up and 3 goals down. You could have stuck a lad from a Sunday morning team on who'd won a raffle and it wouldn't have affected the outcome. Therefore, I don't understand why you wouldn't use those scenarios to give Osula a taste of it and to think of the future.
1964
It's sad to say, but its almost painful to watch him at the minute. The game just goes past him
Sean
Who said it looks like he's mentally checked out already? Seems to be the case. Yes he's aging and has had lots of injuries, but it seems clear as day he's not giving 100% anymore when he does get on. Just strolling around, occasionally threatening to break out into a light jog. gbandit
Disagree with that, I don’t think he’s being lazy out there, his body is just done. He can’t use it to either impose himself on defenders and bully them off the ball or to run onto loose balls. He is unable to offer anything at all, although I imagine he can probably still score from ten yards if he’s found in space but that’s just incredibly rare in the premier league
Mattoon
It's really not helping when you're looking for something to go at tired legs towards the end of the game and you bring on captain cripple. He's shot and I can't see him coming back from this now, I'm just really confused as to why Osula can't get in ahead of him, it makes zero sense.
