The Super League has sent a letter to FIFA and UEFA threatening to sue if the member clubs are excluded from any competitions

I’m sure there’s an anti competition element to it.

Sitting in an office with a manyoo fan (from manch) who is all for relegating or expelling the club.

Yep, everyone I play football with supports Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs and they're all absolutely furious.

As seen in the tweets these clubs don’t care about existing fans. It’s all about the money.

Just read Boris and the government want to do everything in their power to stop this happening. Why man? Just let them fuck off and we get on with our league.

Seriously there is zero chance of this outcome happening.

@Yorkie put it well last night. These clubs are not their owners any more than Ashley = Newcastle United.

These clubs are integral parts of the fabric of English football. It's tempting to say just fuck off but that's to the detriment of everyone. I'm not sure what other options are available though given the way we have let anyone (well, almost anyone...) buy a club if they have enough money.

From what I’ve seen yes. Though looking on RAWK, there were some Liverpool fans in favour of this

Baffling. The next step will be to relocate the club to Shanghai and turn Anfield into a Walmart.

Yeah was really weird reading through that thread. Their doublespeak was basically that the PL is already corrupt so why not?

Wonder if Rio Ferdinand supports the Super League? After all he advocates club owners doing what they like as its their property.

That’s the whole problem. Legally the clubs are the property of the shareholders and they can do whatever they please.

I think yesterday was a wake call for fans everywhere. We are no longer fans merely customers of a shit product.

I own my house but I can't just extend it willy nilly without permission from the council.

Mike Ashley sussed that out ages ago in fairness.

Aye, many using excuses about cloggers like Pickford injuring Van Dyke, and teams like Burnley etc playing defensive foootball, and as if Liverpool have never done that themselves.

very hypocritical, for a fanbase that refer to themselves as socialists to be jumping in to bed with the most corporate proposal to hit football. Though I would say most were against this so it’s most definitely not fair to tar them all with the same brush. In a lot of ways they are as victimised by this as anyone
