54
I'm so glad i've really got into Cricket this last year, with this shitty proposal, VAR, the Premier League being corrupt as fuck, and Bruce at the helm, there isn't much to enjoy at top level football atm. Isn’t cricket one of the worst sports in the world for Super Leagues, money orientated moves, etc? Seems to be ruining the international test scene. TheInfiniteOdyssey
Atalanta beat Juventus 1-0 today to leave the latter 4th in the league. Can't imagine why they're so eager to reform the meritocratic process.

Would have said no as soon as it was leaked and people are pissed off with it. Premier League should make them forfeit their games this season and kick them out. Comes around every 2-4 years when the TV deal rights are being talked about, and done it 3 times this season alone. Fuck them. Show them they are willing to take a stand. They lose all games this season, NUFC takeover is approved, we’ll talk in the summer about allowing you back in once we have calmed down.

triggs
I guess PSG and Man City have unlimited money anyway so it doesn't really effect them. Thought Man City might have joined just to piss off UEFA though

nbthree3
Mail claims Man City did agree just yesterday The big six of English football have signed letters of intent to join a new European Super League, which will be announced at 9.30pm on Sunday night. Manchester City were the last to agree, on Saturday, joining Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham in the breakaway, which will spell the end of competition in domestic and European football as we know it. 54
Quote UEFA, the English Football Association and the Premier League, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and LaLiga, and the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) and Lega Serie A have learned that a few English, Spanish and Italian clubs may be planning to announce their creation of a closed, so-called Super League. If this were to happen, we wish to reiterate that we – UEFA, the English FA, RFEF, FIGC, the Premier League, LaLiga, Lega Serie A, but also FIFA and all our member associations - will remain united in our efforts to stop this cynical project, a project that is founded on the self-interest of a few clubs at a time when society needs solidarity more than ever. We will consider all measures available to us, at all levels, both judicial and sporting in order to prevent this happening. Football is based on open competitions and sporting merit; it cannot be any other way. As previously announced by FIFA and the six Federations, the clubs concerned will be banned from playing in any other competition at domestic, European or world level, and their players could be denied the opportunity to represent their national teams. We thank those clubs in other countries, especially the French and German clubs, who have refused to sign up to this. We call on all lovers of football, supporters and politicians, to join us in fighting against such a project if it were to be announced. This persistent self-interest of a few has been going on for too long. Enough is enough. https://www.uefa.com/insideuefa/mediaservices/mediareleases/news/0268-12121411400e-7897186e699a-1000--statement-by-uefa-the-english-football-association-the-premier-/
