If Willock was 10 times the player Joelinton is he'd literally be the best midfielder in the world. They're apples and oranges, but any comparison with Joelinton is always a compliment.

He is better for sure. He learn his trade with the Wenger excellence of training academy. Joelinton try things and he run a lot but technically he is not as good as Willock.

Whether you think Willock is better is up to you like, imo they're nothing alike to even make that judgement. The main point I was making is that a player being compared with Joelinton is a compliment, not the insult you were implying. Joelinton is an excellent footballer, one of our best.

They are playing in same position. Its up to you like a defensive midfielder at best over all round footballer.

You must be watching a different footballer to me if you think Joelinton is a defensive footballer. He's actually more of a forward driving player whose been reinvented as a midfield enforcer type, even then his attacking instincts still show through. He's just not very good at actually producing much at the end of it, but he's still got good feet for a big man, and he causes teams plenty of problems in a different way than Willock.

Watched that yesterday, noticeable how many more assists he would have if people in our team could finish.

I'm instinctively not his biggest fan in CM because he isn't the neat, tidy and compact style that I like. But I've been really impressed recently and I hope we can find a way to accommodate him, Bruno and Joelinton in midfield.

I really think Joelinton in Longstaff's role would be an absolute beast, hope that's what we get for the Man United game after the break.
