Willock was poor today. I'm not sure what you mean by telling on myself - I don't rate him, I'm not trying to conceal that opinion.

Willock cannot be trusted to deliver regularly. We can't wait for him to have his one decent game. We need to move on and sell him.

I like him and he has proven he can play far better than he currently is. Think the injuries have taken it's toll though.

 

Would sell him and look to sign a creative midfielder.

Decent is stretching his performance a bit. Was livelier than recent showings in the first half , not much came off for him though. Then his involvement faded until he was replaced. I like him but have always questioned his awareness

To single out a player who wasn't even the worst player in a midfield including Tonali and Bruno, never mind the full team is telling on yourself for having an obvious agenda. If you think he was poor, that's your opinion but mine would be that that's absolute bollocks.

Again, I don't think anyone is singling him out based on one performance, it's that over a long period of time he hasn't done enough when given the opportunity, so I and apparently many others are looking keenly at his contribution. I don't think he contributed much of note to the game today and looked his usual frustrating, haphazard self. More of the same Willock we've seen for a while now. Whether or not he was better than Bruno and Tonali is irrelevant to me.

He's got one particularly strong weapon in his arsenal and that's bolting past someone on the left flank and getting to the byline. He did that once today then kicked it out of play. Being kind, I think that was as big an indicator of rustiness that we've seen. It's frustrating because we can't really accommodate rustiness at this point. 

 

Definitely accept that his fellow midfielders were poor as well but in think Howe's gambling a bit with Willock, in the hope he plays himself back into form. Feels like we've invested that time now so might as well stick with it to see if it pays off. It worked for him earlier with Pope being preferred to Dubs when the optics indicated the latter would be better. Same might also be said for Wilson over Osula.

We need a team in Saudi to do us a favour, he cost us £28M. Smith Rowe cost Fulham about that much, I'd be looking at £30M+ from a Saudi team this summer tbh.

Don't think he would want to go to SA at all honestly. Could see a West Ham or Fulham taking a chance on him - maybe. 

 

I feel for him as he is a better player than he's shown lately. Out of form and without regular game time a move might be best for all parties. Understand those who would keep him for depth, though.

I'm just talking about Joe Willock's performances in the Joe Willock thread, so I don't think measuring him against Bruno and Tonali who were both well below their standard today is really that relevant.
