Out of interest, would anyone keep him and instead cash in on Joelinton?

If we got good offers for both I’d hope we had younger players with higher ceilings, a replacement for Joe who wasn’t far off and an attack minded midfielder with better technique and composure, someone who could be top class in time. Only worry would be the effect on Bruno. Shame we didn’t sign Igor or w/e the Brentford lads name is.

He is so frustrating. He was brilliant at times, nicking the contested or second ball, reacting well when the passage of play had broken down. Only to then not be on the same wavelength as his teammate. Can see it breaking down in slow motion, almost.

Brilliant off the ball, though. I didn’t even celebrate the goal. Just assumed he was miles offside as he went that far clear

Honestly after the first 10 mins I was wondering how much we could get for him, but he grew into the game more and more, in the end played a big part in a huge win. We needed him and Ramsey to step up and they did. So did Wolt for that matter.

I thought he worked hard and put in a good defensive performance and obviously, and crucially [for a change] made the right decision for the goal, but personally still found his frustrating elements quite evident again. He almost always immediately follows up any good action he takes with a bad one. He will earn himself space with through skill or athleticism that few others players can do, only to fail to capitalise on it - the pass will be the wrong one, or it'll be too slow, or just lacking any quality.

He's probably the most frustrating player in the squad for me; if he had the ability to follow up his strengths with the right decision on a regular basis he'd be an incredibly useful player.

We should be looking to get closer to £20M than the 15 every article talks about.

I'm sure we'll try, but he's coming into the last year of his contract this summer. We might just have to take what we can get, or use him for the final year if we don't get a good enough offer.

Edwards saying we'd be interested in £8m + Sarr from Palace.

Swaps rarely happen so I'm skeptical, but that sounds okay regardless of the direction the money would be going in.

Its good to see Willock back to form. I suppose if he's only got a year to go, its time to move him on. Most of what he does is covered by Joelinton, who I presume we'll be keeping. We also need to be developing Miley to reach his potential.

Should Joseph Willy be starting on Wednesday?

Who would he start in place of?

Barnes at LW?

He was great at PSG so I’m not against it. Maybe he does start ahead of Barnes.  Run his heart out for an hour. Keep us in the game. Bring on Barnes and Murphy.

The more I think about it the more I like it.  The key is not to be blown away early.
