Signs of life tonight. Rank miss with the header but all of his usual irritating things like being muscled off the ball loads and misplacing passes seemed to be ironed out.

Hopefully a route back to contributing something again at least in the short term.

Much more like it. But still so Joe Willock.

Deceptively fast as fuck, great carrying the ball, pressing, strong running from deep and was finding loads of space.

Just also a lot of his infuriating decision making when he got near the box.

Great that based on tonight. We might, just might. Have 6 genuine centre mid options.

Looked a bit brighter than he has for a long while, but still nowhere near good enough to be ahead of Miley in the pecking order.

A decent cross for Big Nick’s goal, but he owed him that after trying to make out - with ridiculous arm-waving histrionics - that his own headed howler was an attempted assist for Woltemade.

Would still prefer to sell him and get someone better and less made of glass in.

Likewise, he may even come into some form and then he'll be out for months. I am a bit concerned we have repated this mistake with Jacob Ramsey.

I guess we will see, hopefully they both kick on.

So frustrating his finishing has been so poor for the last 1-2 years. He couldn’t miss when he first joined on loan and in the 22/23 season he had a few good goals as well. Shame, but at least he still gets into good positions and hopefully he becomes clinical again

Much better from himand crucially, he looked happy. Feel like the last two seasons he's been looking negative and the fans getting on his back hasn't helped. Maybe being given a start in a key game gave him a bit of confidence. If he play like that, and with a smile on his face, then we poss have the best midfied in europe, with all six deserving of a start.

Funny how people are criticising Elanga while praising Willock. I thought they had pretty similar games; both had some good moments and some phases of play where they could’ve done a bit better.

I agree with this, I was surprised to see people praising him. For most of the game I thought he was one of the lesser performers (I don't think anyone was actually bad) on the team.

His erratic movement off the ball lead to massive holes in midfield which fortunately for us Spurs didn't exploit.

Decent cross for Woltemade goal but aside from that I didn't think it was a performance worthy of mentioning tbh.

Sign of our progression in 4 years is he's went from one of our 2-3 most important players when he signed, to the 24-25th member of the squad pretty much.

Bit of a bizzare suggestion like [emoji38]

I mean, is he not part of our back up midfield trio? Ramsey, Miley, Joe? Hardly classed as 24th [emoji38]
