AyeDubbleYoo
We're going to end the opening round of fixtures in the relegation zone, if we don't we've done well. Just another 37 games to go after that.
David28
I know this is Mike Ashley and Newcastle United we're talking about here, but has a Director of football ever stepped in to manage the team? Keegan? As well as Kinnear (as mentioned). Also, Avram Grant at Chelsea. There was some example in the Bundesliga as well that I can't remember right now. Teasy
Was previously thinking that if we start terribly at least Pardew will get the boot in time to recover, but now think that'll happen then Kinnear steps in and we do worse How can Kinnear do worse?, think he'd have to murder the entire squad for that. I mean how can he possibly sabotage the team and its tactics anymore than Pardew already does? We only managed to stay up due to having too much quality to go down, despite Pardews best efforts. He's an embarrassing wanker, a poor manager and god forbid he replaces Pardew instead of someone competent. But I'm struggling to see why people think his team selections and tactics would necessarily be worse than the shite our current manager serves up every week. Oakie Doke
call me pedantic, but the "no chance" next to the 1 on the poll is bothering me. Surely if there's a 1 in 10 chance, that's a chance. Restart the poll with an added '0' option if the intention really is to see how many users think there's no chance of us being relegated. Just how committed to this are we? DubblyDubblyDubbly
We're one possibly two injuries away from Armageddon and the Scumderland/Bindippers performances were spineless/clueless in equal measure and all we've added is another crock and a certified nutter while everyone else bar Arsenal have strengthened... 8 for me. merlin
Not worth voting yet - time to do that is around October, when we will have a good idea just where the club is going this season...Pardew could also be on the way out by then and that would make a difference to everyone's vote. Pilko
Right now 2.5; whilst the injuries excuse was overplayed last year, we did have a fair few and although I don't think we will pull up many trees we should be comfortable in 12th or so. Hopefully Downey can work her magic and keep the likes of HBA fit, depending on the quality of the promoted teams etc we could even sneak top half. We will see. Beren
I'll start at four. We have a good squad (apart from depth up front) and a terrible manager. That should be enough but having seen the depth of our shiteness last year, I know we're capable of outdoing ourselves and our squad looking as talented as Matty Pattison. It's a plausible outcome from the outset for me though, and I hope we can put points on the board/have some early season momentum as soon as possible.
