Superior Acuña
There are six points between 17th and 8th. That's not a lot. This. You're 2 points behind Fulham who apparently are playing well. That doesn't mean you can't be justifiably angry at performances/tactics, but surely maintain some context at this stage of the season. It's not February. It's not even December. Can't believe there's been so much relegation talk. Look at almost every table from the past few years at this point and compare it to the end of the season, always so much change between now and then. Aye, just look at this one for example: http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/premier-league/2008-2009/table/2008-11-22 Yes, look at Tottenham. We have a horrendous set of fixtures coming up though which I don't expect us to pick up anything from. These 'easy' games we've just gone through are the ones where you're supposed to pick up points and they only come around once a season. We've missed that chance and while the gap is only a few points now, after we've gained zero points from our December fixtures i'm sure it will have increased. mikejaxer
4 consecutive losses in a row with 4 difficult games coming up. I'll be surprised if we're not in a relegation fight by new year. Pardew's got to go. I'm afraid we'll be too late if we give him the rest of the season to prove himself.

Ketsbaia
Well we're not going down but that doesn't mean this season won't be a failure. Absolutely ridiculous if this team finishes bottom half.

Superior Acuña
Next game is massive. While gutted with tonight, I expected to lose it after the Soton game and I think many of our feelings were based on assumption of losing tonight. If, however, we lost *5* in a row, capped off with humiliation at home to Wigan, that'd be up there with most dire moments in newcastle memory. Winning on the weekend won't erase it all, but could give me confidence we wont be relegated. When did we last lose 4 in a row? 5?

Guest malandro
Two varieties of relegation performance in a few days. A making an average team look like world beaters, followed by a chucking it away in the last ten minutes capitulation. All we need for a hat-trick would be a cauldron of hate three goals down by halftime at home type thing against Wigan.

Aw man Those games are so horrible I can't not watch. The tension, the clatter of seats and violent swearing as some shit player makes it 3.
Spider Jerusalem
What happened there was typical of teams going down. We have looked like a relegated team all month. Pretty much to be brutally honest. It's a few years ago but were the relegation team playing as shit as this? It's not even like it's been just this month in terms of the football being played, but we've been playing absolute bollocks from the first minute of the season up until the 94th minute here tonight.
