merlin
Now at a firm 9 and will go to 10 if the next 2 games are lost...this has been coming for a long time and its no surprise that the club are where they are apart from the fact that McClaren must have almost zero motivational powers to get such awful performances from players who should at least be capable of finishing 14th. Charnley reminded me of Nero fiddling whilst Rome burnt when they showed him during the game yesterday.......
Ketsbaia
Dunno if it's the alcohol, but I feel more confident with the defeat + McClaren out combo than if we'd won today.
Guest
Stayed the same on basis McClaren is more likely to go. If he's still in charge by Sunderland though, 10.
Altamullan
10 if the second best coach in the premiership is still bringing out the worst in what we've got and generally stinking-up the place with his horseshit patter, for next match.9 with a new broom-any fucker- prior to then. Starting Fucking Rivière. Christ almighty. Other results suggest it is us or Makems.
Nate
Reasons to be cheerful; Sunderland (H), Swansea (H), Palace (H), Norwich (A), Villa (A). Surely we can't be down already with those games to play. http://m0.joe.co.uk/YToyOntzOjQ6ImRhdGEiO3M6MTY0OiJhOjM6e3M6MzoidXJsIjtzOjEwMjoiaHR0cDovL21lZGlhLWpvZWNvdWsubWF4aW11bW1lZGlhLmllLnMzLmFtYXpvbmF3cy5jb20vd3AtY29udGVudC91cGxvYWRzLzIwMTUvMDYvMTAxODM2MjIvbWNjbGFyZW4uanBnIjtzOjU6IndpZHRoIjtpOjY0NztzOjY6ImhlaWdodCI7aTozNDA7fSI7czo0OiJoYXNoIjtzOjQwOiI3M2Q0ZDA0OTI3Nzc4OGQyODRjNzI0MjliOWQyZTI4ZjhkZjQ3MGRmIjt9/mcclaren.jpg

BONTEMPI
If these arseholes persist with McClaren then the only way I can see us getting out of this is going back to 4-4-2 Blob Jan Mbemba Taylor Had Sissoko Tiote Shelvey Winny\Townsend Mitro\Cisse Unc Ben Just no fight or inspiration from anywhere. Cronky
It's looking grim now. Two out of ourselves, Norwich and the Mackems will drop, and our neighbours seem to be doing the best at the moment. It's not fair to blame McClaren, in that the slide began long before he arrived, and it can take more than one season to turn that kind of momentum around. The biggest (but not the only) problem is the defence. If you're insecure at the back, that saps the confidence of the entire side. It feels like we have to begin again from scratch in that area. Gallowgate Toon
Down and I don't really care. Just hope we keep a good core of players and can rebuild properly. Starting with that cunt selling the club.

I think you can blame McLaren for his part in this. We look bigger losers than ever and he has persisted with a terrible formation all season. We have no width, midfield is overran too frequently and 1 up front has been killing us. A reluctance to dump players like Sissoko, Colo and Wini away from home and not realising Mitro probably needs a partner up front

A reluctance to dump players like Sissoko, Colo and Wini away from home and not realising Mitro probably needs a partner up front To be fair to SMC, we've tried quite a few different formations and there are a real lack of options within the squad. 4-2-3-1, 4-4-2, 4-3-3 and 3 at the back. His selections are what's killed us so badly recently, along with his inability to motivate some key players.
Unbelievable
When have we tried 442 and a real 433 (not 451) for any length of time?
Gallowgate Toon
When have we tried 442 and a real 433 (not 451) for any length of time? 4-3-3 has been used sporadically, aye, but we had a pretty decent run of playing Gini left, Sissoko right and Perez & Mitro up top towards the back end of last year. Edit: not arguing it's not due another shot with Townsend, btw. That'd be a possible way for us to go for the foreseeable, with Gini now looking so rubbish. Unbelievable
Gini and Sissoko are not wingers, so playing them wide essentially makes it a midfield five imo
Gallowgate Toon
Gini and Sissoko are not wingers, so playing them wide essentially makes it a midfield five imo Perez and Mitro definitely played as a 2. Doesn't matter how bastardised our wingers were, it was still not one up top.
Tiotes Witch Doctor
Nailed on 10 for me, never been so sure of anything in my life, McClaren wont be sacked and that's enough reason to think that its a dead cert.

NG32
Still a 9 stroking a 10. If the idiots do the right thing and bin McClown then there is a chance of getting organised and getting some points on the board. If they don't lift a finger and make a change , I'll shift to a 10 - nailed on.

AyeDubbleYoo
Cronky's right in that the problems go far beyond McClaren. He has failed to turn it around, for that he takes the blame. But the reasons we are failing in general are much wider.

Altamullan
What are everyone's predictions? AWAY: 8 7 points Everton L Chelsea L Stoke D L Leicester L Norwich W Southampton D Liverpool L Villa W HOME: 13 10 points West Brom W (Man City D) Bournemouth W Makems W Swansea W Palace L Spurs L 21 17 points Whilst not found of s*** or bust thinking/statements, can't help thinking tomorrow is a s*** or bust game. The way they've played the last two games, well I just can't see them winning. Regardless of points available, regardless of what they may possibly be capable of, their confidence looks shot to fuck.
