Team A fans stop celebrating. The goal should have stood. Team A loses the game. Team B socres: Team B fans celebrate --- VAR check comes up, the goal might be off. Team B fans stop celebrating. The goal stands, as it should have. Team B fans celebrate again. Team B draws the game. You even get another moment. The end result of initial disappointment is the same, except this time you get the correct result and you can even celebrate twice.
