Give over !

Have you ever been at a match when we have scored then 3 or 4 seconds later it's chalked off ?

It's horrible isn't it.

..times it by a thousand when they chalk it off as the team who has conceded are just about to kick off again.

It's crap mate.  It just kills the moment.

Could you imagine if they had this in the 70s and 80s with the crowd going crazy after a goal ?  Then it's disallowed 2 minutes later.

I was at a match where a goal stood that shouldn't have in overtime of overtime, where if it had been correctly ruled out, my local third division side would have been promoted for the first time in decades. The referee team needed police escort out of the stadium. I'd have killed for VAR then, instead of a possible rise up the leagues and a revitalized sporting stage in my hometown, they're now in the fourth tier because sponsors just gave up. Wrong decisions can have major impacts and small impacts, there's no reason why they should exist anyhow.

Team A scores: Team A fans celebrate --- Linesman flags, the goal is off. Team A fans stop celebrating. The goal should have stood. Team A loses the game.

Team B socres: Team B fans celebrate --- VAR check comes up, the goal might be off. Team B fans stop celebrating. The goal stands, as it should have. Team B fans celebrate again. Team B draws the game.

You even get another moment. The end result of initial disappointment is the same, except this time you get the correct result and you can even celebrate twice.

But actually wanting more wrong decisions just so that you can celebrate a goal properly is just odd to me.

Surely you want as fair a match as possible first and foremost.

Yes mate, I do. I understand what you and all those in favour of it mean. I just hate it it just kills it for me.

The goal was ruled out ? In your opinion not the refs ?

The ref is in charge and should always be.
