Guest
Where were the PL clubs when Mike Ashley renamed SJP for £0. Was that not anti-competitive to us? They sat by because we weren’t a threat. Now all of a sudden the sponsorship deals worry them.

Ben
Can the Saudis not just give us money like the clubs below ? Is so fucking corrupt man. According to business of football account Swiss Ramble, the Russian has given the Stamford Bridge side £440 million in the past five years. Everton's owners are second, having financed the club with £299 million and Aston Villa are third with £193 million.
Guest neesy111
Of course they can. There's loads of ways around it, it just stops them doing it via a means of sponsorship via their own companies.

Absolutely rich that they want to stop this now after being a free advertisement for Sports Direct for 14 years.
Superior Acuña
If it means we don't have Armaco on our shirt I'm not complaining.
Ben
Does this mean Man City have to give Grealish back ?

Guest
Just the absolute audacity of them calling for this after how Mike Ashley has used us for Sports Direct. Hope the PL tell them where to go.

LRD
Meh, they only cry foul when it doesn't suit them. Going to be loads more similar self-perceived grievances to come. I will just watch the show and enjoy my gourmet popcorn, knowing that there's nothing significant they can do to stop us from finally progressing. RS
It’s glorious how the PL are coercing with the other teams to keep applying pressure against nufc. Shitting their pants. I’d be threatening to spill the beans on the whole CAT case if that’s the path they continue on. Take the corruption down.
Rafalove
Interesting how we were being talked down to over Project big picture proposals, now they’re shit scared. Aye we still might be relegated again even this year but the point still stands. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/parry-project-big-picture-newcastle-19195260.amp Edited October 19, 2021 by Rafalove
Guest HTT II
The nerve of these clubs and the PL man, rotten to the core. You can tell they are genuinely shit scared we can now blow them all out of the water for their top targets, their own top players and future income they have a monopoly on. Fuck them all! deejeck
What were we consistently told by others?! "It's Mike Ashley's club, he owns it and he can do what he sees fit with it. If he wants to advertise and change the name of the stadium then it's up to him, he owns it". The hypocrisy of it all.

Shame there's not a sackpardew-esque website loaded with all of this type of hypocrisy and other contradictions now that our owners benefit us, as opposed to when our owner was purposefully holding us back. alexf
It is concerning the depths the Premier League and other clubs seem willing to go to prevent us growing and succeeding. How far does it go... Eventually filtering down into biased refereeing? Everything is based on fear anyway. Our new owners haven't said or done anything to confirm they are going to be spending the sort of money that the media are suggesting. They have all just assumed based on their wealth. We all hope ofcourse. But this sponsorship rule is so blatant considering they have all stood by and watched other clubs do this for years and allowed Mike Ashley to take the piss out of us. FloydianMag
Given that Man City voted with Newcastle against the proposals is there anything to prevent the Abu DhabiGroup companies from sponsoring Newcastle and PIF companies sponsoring City? Stifler
UEFA would have to approve the rules apparently and if they did it would have to be across Europe. Good luck passing that, we aren’t talking just the fact that it would be shit for PSG here, but Dutch and German clubs would be absolutely fucked if that type of sponsorship isn’t allowed. I would hope (and expect) that there will be a legal letter from a certain anti-competition QC landing at the Premier League's doorstep this week. This is blatantly anti-competitive and has to be challenged immediately.
