But that's just weird. Imagine having a pint with the group of adult men who designed and created that.
UncleBuzzcocks
I think it’s class they’ve made the u turn, although I wouldn’t wear one. This must’ve come from the Saudis themselves.

Thought people were just being defiant in the away end today.

TRon
Personally I found the poster of the arab beheading the magpie being flown by the palace fans a lot more offensive than some geordies wearing a tea towel on their heads.
FloydianMag
These types of protests by opposition fans will make PIF even more determined to succeed and rub there fucking noses in it.
Newcastle Fan
Let them hate us as much as they want, we will not even think much of them and their shit team in a few years from now.

Tsunami
Obviously don’t understand the PL O&D test as it is. Need to get the RSPB involved mind. I’d have far more respect if they had a banner saying they don’t like how much money we could have available and they wish it was them.
Hanshithispantz
Is that the whitest, most middle class crowd in British football?
hakka
I think the banner is fair - what is ironic is that it's only being done because it wasn't them. Also, I'm sure they don't boycott many other Saudi PIF invested products and services. They can turn a blind eye to PIF investing billions in many other companies like Pfizer, Facebook, Disney, Starbucks, BT etc.

Kanji
Nothing sadder than a banner trying to clown an away team rather than a banner supporting your own team. nothing fair about the banner, it’s quite lame tbh.
Ben
I think the goings on this week are based on an assumption that the north east doesn't deserve investment like this, there is an invisible apartheid line south of Middlesbrough that the Saudis have dared to cross and now they get the backlash

Would love to see a breakdown of dodgy sponsorships and ownerships throughout football like.

Depending on how much threat we’re in before January will probably determine the money available. Even in the very unlikely situation we did, we’d be straight back up. I've been thinking something similar and it would be peak NUFC for it to happen too. 7 months of relentlessly negative backlash from fans and owners of other clubs and it wouldn't be the greatest surprise in the world if they did a U-turn and got out before ploughing in serious investment. Given the amount of Arab money slushing around in London, the hypocrisy is off the scale.
Numbers
Twitter is a terrible like, Newcastle fans giving Jamie Reuben pelters for saying an improved performance today. Its almost like they expected us to steam roll Palace today because Bruce is gone. By all accounts, it was an improved performance, despite some poor individual performances at least we looked like we knew what was expected.
