Aiston
Need a new manager, for the substitutions only.
Smal
don’t really think he bears any responsibility for the second half to be honest. There is a lack of leadership on the field and the players were so complacent. Whole half was just passing the ball to Forest and jogging around
Ellis H
A wins a win etc but we actually had a decent bench today so it’s hard to defend that second half.
David Edgar
Would be good to have a proper discussion on our failings this season. To what extent it is Howe's game management or the players themselves. Probably just gonna be loads of factors coming together.

SiLvOR
We need to learn how to actually kill games off instead of inviting wave after wave of pressure. Eddie needs to learn to make more subs as well, if only to break up the opposition's patterns of play. Quite ludicrous how bad that second half was, particularly with how good the first was. I get needing to conserve energy but again, there's a better way to do that. Positive subs to get fresh legs on and keep the momentum going, not dawdling on the ball and inviting increasing pressure. Really can't believe what we just saw tbh, as bad a half of football as we've served up under Howe.
Ronaldo
To be fair we’ve had a fair few second halves like that this season - maybe not quite as bad as that. It’s bizarre.
Newcastle Fan
That was one of the most unprofessional half of football that I've seen us play, and like mentioned above we've had a few of them this season, they say the second half is the manager's half eh? He needs to study what's happening, it's not a lack of quality players or bench that is the problem.
dave s
we do have frustrating games or patches where we know we can be far better. but fuck me, 5th and a cup final. howay eddie lad!

Too many football manager experts thinking you can remotely turn a dial and magic happens

Sima
If hypothetically we were 3-0 up at Wembley with 20 minutes to go, I wouldn’t be confident of us seeing it out. Game management is a concern.

MagMal
We often have a dodgy win before he goes on one of his patented Eddie Howes winning runs, fingers crossed this kicks off another up turn in form.
Yorkie
We've taken the lead in 24 matches this season, in all competitions. We've only failed to win three of those fixtures (Palace, Liverpool, Fulham). I don't think there's a fundamental issue with us holding a lead. Today, and in others, we achieved it by virtue of being so far in front to begin with. Other times it's through steely defensive performances. Feels very bog standard to lament a missing player - particularly one who hasn't been great this season - but we missed Big Joe today. His short passing has been off this season but I think he holds it up and takes the pressure off well enough for us to ultimately be in credit when he's in the side. We drop the points without him at Spurs, for instance, imo.

The College Dropout
The issue isn’t defending a lead. We are usually good at that. Too many bad often we are off the pace.
