The video was good and was nice to reflect back. Although it does gloss over alot of the downfall that happened post PSG which I guess is understandable if it's meant to be a positive piece.

Certainly brought back the pain of that cup final loss. So annoying that it was the one spell in that season where we struggled for form.

Pope got suspended, Bruno wasn't sharp having not had a game for about 4 weeks in the build up. It was just the worst timing and I feel any other month prior or post we win it comfortably.

However on the flip side, I think the loss galvanised us for the top 4 finish. I remember thinking at the time that the distractions were gone and the squad can go all out for the league finish now and thankfully they did. If we had won the cup, maybe we would have relaxed abit and not finished top 4. However given the choice I'd have taken the cup win, it felt like the perfect crowning moment for that team and they deserved it.

Also I'd like to see the Steve Bruce version of this video. Wonder why the club never released one [emoji38]

Really good video, it’s still mad to think how far we’ve come

Nice statement from the club to put that out. I know it's to mark the 3 year anniversary, but it still shows some appreciation of what he's done.

Just shows how good EH is with all the players he has missing this season and last. Rodri missing just highlights there’s very little between all the top clubs managers. Always helps to have your best players available funnily enough.

Exactly. Also see Liverpool/VVD.

Feels like it's been said a lot this season but this really does feel like such a huge game, coming off two brilliant home results can we back it up with an away performance that shows we can challenge for Europe again. A draw won't be a bad result but a win would really feel like we have turned a corner since that Brighton game .

A win would be huge. International break on the back of 3 wins would be outstanding and a great platform to build on. The lads are away for warm weather training in Saudi too!

Yeah exactly. Are we going to slip back into our away form rut or are we going to turn in a proper away performance.

Important to remember Forest are in fine form and it'll be a really difficult game too.

If we were to win today, we'd be level on points with Villa and Chelsea/Arsenal depending on the outcome of their game. Only a point behind both of the latter, Brighton and Forest.

In short - we'd be right amongst it. I think Liverpool may just run away with 1st and Man City with 2nd this year respectively. The rest is wide open.

We can see the improvement the last few games at home with the formation and tactics. I just hope he can drill the lads to produce some of our 22/23 away form. We'll soon know. :indi:

That first season and a half is my favourite ever time supporting Newcastle. The atmosphere and togetherness was unreal

I said it multiple times, it might not get better than this as far as a genuine fan base is concerned.

Keegans arrival as manager. Not getting relegated, promotion and the Entertainers.

I think Arsenal could challenge, they have had a brutal fixture list. Already played us, City, Villa and Spurs away with Chelsea today. Liverpool at home as well. They have a very good run of fixtures coming up.

I meant within the Saudi ownership, where it’s all the fans who’ve been in it for the long haul.

Its been a long long time since I had some of the football joys from that season, Shelvey vs Leeds for example made it seem anything was possible.

And Odegaard coming back. They will win a lot going forward.
