Lotus
Looking at that table it seems the big thing between the top 3 and the chasing pack is away wins. Away draws are similar with those above us. Home form is similar. But the away wins and losses are off. Our goal difference is way head of the chasing pack but some way behind the top 3. If was can start changing some of those away losses even into draws we’ll start opening the gap to the pack. I think catching the top is some way off but if we can firmly establish ourselves as better than Villa, Chelsea, maybe Spurs if they get a better coach then we’re in CL wonderland and the real building can begin. This is where I am. There's been a top 3 for a few seasons now and there's a block of clubs behind that. We are in that block. I think we are a good summer window away from separating ourselves from that block and getting much closer to the top 3. 71 points 60 points Hopefully 68-71 points this season With a great transfer window and a bit of luck, we can probably land in the 72-84 bracket next season. Probably not enough to win a league title, but maybe good enough for a bit of a challenge and to make CL qualification default. I feel like we need a season like that pretty soon or our best players should want to leave.

Since Howe took charge, we have the 4th best recored in the league behind City, Arsenal, and Liverpool.

Hovagod
Just now, Elliottman said: In what way? What about? Nothing major. Just when asked about Isak and transfers. It was more the manner he was answering the questions- a bit sharper and clipped. I don't know. Perhaps he is still feeling a bit under the weather. Nothing to worry about, mind, possibly just in my imagination.

Crimson Cardigan
To be fair to Howe there was barely a question about the actual game. It devolved into “Eddie please say Isak is for sale/not for sale and that Longstaff’s Newcastle career is over” so I can have my national/regional headline. SteV
When he’s getting asked about transfers he’s pretty much always going to be somewhat guarded (like most managers tbf). Watching today’s presser, if anything I felt he was upbeat, if still reserved, in relation to what we might do in the market.
