Can't be anyone other than Slot imo. To win the league in your debut season is a cracking effort, regardless of how much better you are than everyone else.

It was pointed out on Talksport that winning it in your debut season is quite common. They gave several recent examples.

Manager ClubSeason

Jose Mourinho Chelsea2004/05

Carlo Ancelotti Chelsea2009/10

Manuel Pellegrini Man City2013/14

Antonio Conte Chelsea2016/17

Arne Slot Liverpool2024/25

Silva and Iraola have both had really good seasons too

I’d say ‘decent’ seasons, with very good/excellent moments.

Ultimately it looks like they’ll finish 10th and 11th, which is nothing to be sniffed at, but not really ‘Manager of the Season’ worthy.

Slot will no doubt get it. New manager, new league, big 6 etc.

Could not give a fuck if he does.

What Howe has achieved this year only really matters to us, the fans - the club.  He should get it but I won't worry too much if he does not.  Happy for us to keep growing quietly in the background ;)

They've absolutely pissed it though, effectively had it won by February and been top of the league since November.

I guess if you only look at positions in league tables without any context - Fulham lose their best player every season and are never near relegation.

Pereira at Wolves has done well but that Wolves squad should never have been as bad as O'Neil had them

I'm not completely disagreeing but winning it at a canter, with Klopps side, in a year with very little resistance from Citeh or Arsenil just doesn't feel as impactful as some of the others IMO

Eddie for me as well. No new first team players for three transfer windows, massively hampered by PSR and coached the team to 2nd place. Done an amazing job. Slot had the squad in place and the money to spend to strengthen.

Yeah, I wouldn’t criticise what they’ve done in any way, I’d actually be very positive about it on the whole, but it still doesn’t really put them in the frame for me.

It’s slightly odd season, in that you can be fairly complementary about the majority of managers in the league. Obviously Ange and Amorim have been catastrophic, Pep poor by his standards, Maresca iffy (although probably satisfactory enough IF they make CL), but everyone else bar the bottom three, you’d be happy with to varying degrees.

If this was a season that was just another Man City win, it'd go to Nuno no question, but as it's Slot's first season and he has managed to win the league, it has to go to him really. I still think that title win feels underwhelming, and I can't really place why it feels that way, as it's a great achievement.

Nuno for me,he's had Forest (one of the favourites to go down)near the top most of the season. Its only recently there's been a bit of a slide and they will qualify for one of the European competitions. A fabulous achievement.

Slot came into a club with a ready made title challenging team so he's a no for me.

Newcastle have lost to many games to mid level teams for my liking. We should have sewn up CL football before now. Bonus points for the cup win but making us wait until the last day of the season to see what European competition we end up in makes him a no for me.

3 Slot

2 Howe

1 Nuno

If it’s the premier league manager of the season, then surely the cup(s) have nothing to do with it?

/pedant mode

As mentioned above, seems crazy to even ask the question before the league is finished

If the Premier League Manager of the season is purely based on the league wtf is even the point of it, because you could argue that it should always go to the manager that wins the league.

There has to be thought given to other competitions and situations the team has been through. Because genuinely if it's only the league then the league winning manager should get it every year.

Slightly disagree. If it’s prem only, you could factor in plenty of other things - e.g, time at club, resources, previous finishing position, etc.

Not saying that most voters put in that much thought
