Excellent manager when things are going right. We’ve seen little to suggest he can reverse a downward slide though. Lacks the ruthlessness and ability to think outside the box for that and we were told as much by Bournemouth 3 years back.

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with not having a strong opinion either way, and/or being unsure as to the direction the club should go in.

 

At the end of the day we’re not the ones making these decisions. Thankfully. Hopefully we can trust whoever does.

 

We seem to be in a bit of a strange spot at the minute. Not playing well, not really seeming to get results but still not in a bad position if we can click. There just seems something intangible missing, we don’t have that feeling of being United like we had during our rise. The summer can’t have helped there mind.

I would say we're in a decline so far this season because we can't seem to score goals which is new territory for us. The team just looks devoid of ideas out there. That has to change in the coming weeks.

But we’re not consistently getting worse. Before the break we were getting better. We can just never sustain it.

FYI, I don’t agree that he should be sacked anytime *very* soon - unless someone elite wants the job.

Teams that transition from back to front quickly are our kryptonite. Unfortunately a lot of the league are built that way now.

Was watching something where he said "who's that guy" and he was one of our recent ex players and TG had never heard of him. From that second I knew it wasn't the place for any actual football content.... or indeed any intelligent content whatsoever for that matter.

Decline IMO means steadily getting worse, which I wouldn’t say we are. This season has been poor and inconsistent but we’re not steadily getting worse. We’re just struggling to get consistently better. 
 

Fairly depressing bar to be arguing over mind :lol:

This little fuck is the biggest snake going. Soon as the mega bucks came in, he said fuck us and created that Kick Off shite centered around ‘the big six’. 
 

Say what you want about that Expressions guy but week in, week out, it’s Spurs. Win, lose or draw. Spurs.

We are probably paying 7th/8th highest wages in the premier league. 

 

I think we will finish 6th or 7th 

 

We still have some very average squad players.

 

Dont know why people can’t see this.


Only absolute astute scouting / signings will get us back into the top 4/5.

 

It’s going to be a super slow build.

 

i am enjoying us at least being competitive again and have ambitious owners willing to put money in.

Don't think anyone could complain if we finished 6th/7th tbh. After the Arsenal game I even thought 4th wasn't out of the question. But that run of 3 games has been a blip so far this season, our current position of 10th looks pretty fair to me.

Yeah we’ve been very good in patches and very poor in others.

 

Think that matches our squad strength  (we have a decent 11/12 players )

Its consistency or lack of that will be his downfall. We could turn up next two games and play very well, but then it’ll all fall flat again and it’s been this way for last 2 seasons.

 

He had excuses last year with injuries and suspensions but he’s exposed this year and he’s been found wanting.

 

Other clubs around us have changed things up and have improved and it feels like we’ve stagnated on that side.
