Must have given them an absolute rocket at half time. Goal early in the 2nd half drained all the life out of them, then kept our foot on their throats as we've come to expect from Eddie's NUFC.

Really hope our luck with injuries changes next season, reckon we could have a fantastic 24/25 season if we get our transfer business right.

Just a theory, but could the recent slow starts to games be down to him trying not to burn players out so we can stay play a good level up to the end?

Winter the plan seemed to be playing for 60-70 minutes and hold whatever we had while the substitute options were non-existent, but if we were behind we had no comeback.

Obviously the risk if we're not playing our normal game is starts like we're having, meaning we're not quite on it and the opposition are getting at us a bit and making chances.

It happened at Fulham and we won, up to the first goal v Spurs it was pretty even, today they were the better team  for 30 minutes or so.

Other than Palace where we just didn't perform at all and you can get games like that, we've had a strong 30 to 80 minute period.

It's a nice try, but I really don't think so. It wouldn't explain the headless chicken approach a lot of our players end up with, or the dressing down at Fulham. I think we just have much greater reserves of energy now than we did in December, which gives us a chance of bailing out of situations.

Obviously, this season isn't as remarkable as last, but he's basically had to work with 3 fit midfielders for the last 5 months. For a team that needs energy and snap, it's impressive we've got to where we are despite very few options to rotate, make in-game changes, or even manage legs in a match in what is probably the most important area of the pitch.

That’s why Bruno Gordon and Schar deserve huge credit this season, they’ve done a lot of heavy lifting across the entire spine.

not to mention that we are about to blow our PL record for goals scored out of the water

Howe said it was a difficult first 45 and Sheffield were motivated. He’s clearly lost the plot. On borrowed time.

Will you stop winding people up?  I nearly responded..... oh I have.

We’re a long way off our record in the top flight tbf

Top flight maybe but in terms of PL:

United have scored 74 goals in the PL, the most we've netted in a 38 game PL season along with 2001/02 season. The only higher total than that was 82, during the 46 game 1993/94 campaign.

In terms of home games only, Eddie Howe's side have 48 to their name. That's their third-highest total, exceeded only by 54 (1996/97) and 51 (1993/94).

93/94 was a 42 game season tbf - and we’ll need to average 2+ in the remaining games to beat it.  I think we will, though

It’ll be tight- possibly need a similar result to Brighton (h) last year to get us over the line.

Eddie Howe is proving to be one of the best managers we've had, I only see Keegan and Robson ahead of him but he could surpass them if he's here long enough.

Weird one, I only recently found out he was an Everton fan, his boyhood club, used to mainly watch them as an away fan because he could never get to Goodison.

Just looked over the squad list and it's genuinely exciting to see how many players we can improve on if we're to assume the likes of Bruno, Botman and Isak are the standard.

We're actually sooo far away where we'll eventually so it's pretty incredible to see us battling it out with the likes of Chelsea and Man Utd at this stage of our development.

Honeslty excited to see what Howe can do with an even better calibre of squad.

Joint third in the league with Man City for clean sheets this season. One more than Liverpool.

We were just one pope injury away from finishing in 4th and an UCL QF
