Huge, not just the result but the performance.

We've found something with Joelinton back playing in a wide position, allowing the wide CM to overlap. It's linking the midfield and attack and has got Murphy out of the team.

We're seeing Bruno in an advanced position, we saw the second half even before Tonali came on he had Longstaff sitting and Bruno further up.

Buzzing like!! :aww:

One point from the top four going into the break, and a really good set of fixtures right up until mid February. Fucking brilliant.

Life is good.

Clear evidence today that he's working out how to solve some of the problems we've had. It'll not work out every time but a massive positive going forwards.

Liked the in-game changes too. Well, apart from bringing Osula on after 97mins but I can let that slide [emoji38]

The tactical tweaks have been on point and the team looks night and day different from how we looked early on this season. So much more balanced and threatening.

Just keep praying the off the field stuff has all settled down and common ground has been found.

It's the only thing that can hold us back going forward.

Genuine, no troll/baiting question for y'all across the pond - does it mean a lot to you that he's English as well or is that more of a "cherry on top" kind of thing?

Winning cures all.

Injuries are my biggest fear. The tweaks we’ve made are heavily reliant on the Joes (plus Isak). We don’t really have a replacement for any of them. Please let us get to January at least.

Honestly means nowt to me, I can always admire a talented but humble man/woman wherever they're from. English as a first language helps him express himself better, that's all for me and obviously not unique to an English manager.

Big credit for today, if he wins the next two games and we're properly in the European race again I will have to say my recent doubts were premature and short sighted.

Either way, always maintain he is one of the best coaches we have had whatever happens even if it doesn't work out.

Nah not really, for me it's that he's such an admirable person, I'm proper proud to have him as our manager regardless of nationality. Felt similar about Rafa

It's not the be all and end all but I like the fact we have an English manager who is here on merit and not because he's English. I'd like to think as a country we can produce good managers and it's nice that we have one of our best.

I also noticed earlier how much or our starting XI was English. 7 of them if my count is correct.

Makes no difference to me.
