His answers were spot on, but not only that his dead-eyed stare at some of the obvious bait questions got Jordan to admit that baiting was exactly what he was up to. Nothing gets past Howe. Spoke like a Talksport journo. “My sources at the club suggest.” ”His people tell me he has no offers.” ”As I understand from my information.” Then he was saying about managers they were after who have now shown to be on the downgrade or not up to the level. Gary O’Neil and Eddie Howe, apparently I mean. I’ve been critical of Howe this season. But I’m not sure since being linked with West Ham he’s gone backwards as a manager. Plus it’s a strange thing to say off the back of 6 wins in a row, 5th place and in a cup semi. Not good enough. Doesn’t play THE WEST HAM WAY.
