Play well against teams we who we do well to punch our weight against, then have these performances man. 4-1 at home to Bournemouth, 3-1 against Fulham, 2-0 against West Ham, 4-2 against Brentford. It’s fucking disgusting and it needs to fucking stop. What an absolute whopper

The Prophet Posted Saturday at 14:42 Share Posted Saturday at 14:42 1 minute ago, Stifler said: Couldn’t give a fuck, look at the games we have failed in man, we’ve let teams like Palace look like the better team against us this season. I don’t care if we won 20 games in a row, letting Bournemouth come to SJP and not only be better than us, but beat us 4-1 is shambolic and disgraceful. They're a good side, who played very well today. They'd have given most teams a run for their money. On the flip side we were terrible. So many of our better players (Hall, Bruno, Gordon, Isak) had absolute shockers. Hopefully it serves as a kick up the arse. Bournemouth are European contenders by the way, putting them in the same bracket as Palace isn't particularly accurate.
Yorkie Posted Saturday at 14:43 Share Posted Saturday at 14:43 There is no reason for this thread to be even open at this point. There should be nowt to discuss.

Take that result and performance aside from our run and it’s fucking shocking and needs to be called out. All I’m saying is that we have seen it too often against teams who we should be beating. I can handle losing if we try, but that was fucking disgusting and it’s happened too often. We did try. You don't appear to be handling it well. Curious. Gallowgate Toon Posted Saturday at 14:43 Share Posted Saturday at 14:43 Thought the strategy second half was poor but it's somewhat immaterial when you've got 8 players insisting on playing relentless hospital balls.

SiLvOR Posted Saturday at 14:46 Share Posted Saturday at 14:46 My one criticism which I put in the match thread was that I'd have had Osula on for Gordon much earlier, as the latter was pretty shit all afternoon. But then there's absolutely no guarantee that works either, so not even a criticism really, just a specific personal preference. Can't really say he did much wrong, our lack of options off the bench kills us when we've got Barnes out and a very ineffectual Willock

We lacked cohesion, looked lost at times and like strangers, with lots of our players seeming to regress to the worst version of themselves. But it's lazy as fuck to just go straight to a raging 'we didn't even try!!!' just because we got outclassed by an unfancied team. They're a good team, and they were on their top form while we were off ours. I'm not happy about it but these days happen.
LionOfGosforth Posted Saturday at 14:48 Share Posted Saturday at 14:48 Thought it might be fun and games in here after that Very poor performance obviously, horrible sickening result. Bournemouth are excellent at what they do. He'll pick the bones out of it i'm sure and we'll get on another run soon, don't see the point in having an aneurysm over it. Must admit, my recent policy of refusing to get too high over a win or too low over a bad loss is being tested today. Bad days at the office happen, especially against well-coached sides when you're off it yourselves. Wish he'd review his substitute policy mind, one of his only blind spots to me. Barnes injury didn't help but not sure what difference he would have made anyway.

Up against a CM at RB but 90% of the time keeps cutting in.

Weezertron Posted Saturday at 14:49 Share Posted Saturday at 14:49 The squad can only cope with one game a week without our batteries getting depleted. Eddie's stance on keeping the same 11 everygame when possible will always result in an eventual lull, and its completely worth it if we go one decent runs. Just need to get some rest somehow. Re-energise.

Mike Posted Saturday at 14:51 Share Posted Saturday at 14:51 Eddie being unable to beat Bournemouth is my favorite "little thing in football" at the moment. That's the pitch where we played PSG off the grass but we can't get fucking near AFC Bournemouth no matter how often we play them.
