The wins and a couple of the draws early season last year were poor to watch and I probably didn’t enjoy any of our games until about November looking back. This season in spite of everything that’s gone on and us only having 1 point from 6 has been the total reversal of that thus far. I’ve enjoyed watching us play and I can’t knock Howe or the lads for anything that’s gone on because of the selfish cunt that’s on strike. If he wasn’t we’d likely have 6 points from 6, Gordon wouldn’t have been sent off the other day and things would be looking up. That Howe has managed to cultivate the culture he has amongst the players that allows us to see the togetherness and fight they have in matches is something I appreciate so much. However, get a striker in even if it’s a stopgap and turn these performances into wins. I think we certainly do well under a siege mentality. And our confidence breeds from that. We're a team that thrives on it.

aussiemag
Do we think he would take on the Man Utd job? Honestly, he would be perfect for them and have them top 4 within a year or two. Hopefully he is fully invested in our project and his relationship with the players hes developing. He is paid roughly the same as Amorim.

Pandamninator
0 chance. Newcastle he is fairly well indulged and is running the show re: the squad. As dysfunctional as NUFC is do you really think he wants to trade that for a significantly worse squad, a fan base with expectations stuck in 1999 and Jim Ratcliffe overuling him? The big risk is England next year. Edited August 29, 2025 by Pandamninator
Zero
He won’t go. This is the club where Howe has the most power in his managerial career and he knows he need this to thrive.

Sure the manager who gets it right will be a hero, but the chances of doing so under the current ownership seem pretty remote.

They seem to be thrashing around looking for an answer to their problems. Anyone with common sense would stay well clear.

AyeDubbleYoo
I love Eddie but he's extremely English. Not sure how well he'd go down in somewhere like Madrid. Anyway, he'll be here for another decade so it's OK.

Collage
Don't see Howe as an international manager at this stage of his career, he's too obsessed and too much of an workaholic. Maybe when he's closer to 60. Edited August 29, 2025 by Collage
Wallace
I don’t think Eddie would want England at this stage in his career but I expect there will be a lot of noise and expectation from the media as we approach the World Cup and Tuchel nears the end of his contract. It will be a relentless campaign from the media I am sure.
