He's spent a fucking fortune on whatever kind of player he was looking for and has a dysfunctional team, scared attitude and no plan to be able to play football. We have looked horrible all season despite the odd good win and that's fucking inexcusable, we bottled it big time and didn't bother being aggressive or trying to win, barely fucking tested them man and we can't counter attack because Gordon and Elanga are spastics.

No issues with keeping it tight in the first half, but having both wingers 5 yards in front of our fullbacks probably not the greatest idea to build confidence on the ball.

I didn't hate the tactics first half. Could see what we were doing. But once Nick scores that OG I have no clue what the plan was

Thankful for everything Eddie has done for us..I dont want him out but surely something has got to change..We are a shadow of the side we were 2 years ago..We cant seem to play away from home.. He had us setup all wrong today.. Elanga and Gordon should have been off at HT..Everyone could see that..Sunderland wanted the win more than we did

Got the summer wrong and it’s costing him. Even his diehards have to admit he’s so poor in situations like that where it needs changing too. There won’t be pressure on yet but I personally don’t any more of ‘his’ signings.

On the other hand he signed Isak who spent 3 seasons making him look like a better manager than he is.

Trying not to knee-jerk but he got it massively wrong today again. How Gordon and Elanga can be our starting wingers in such a big game is completely beyond me given how bad they've been this season, if I was Barnes I'd just retire from the sport now.

Beyond that, we didn't look motivated, we were incredibly passive, subs took too long to come, we looked scared of the ball, basically everything about our performance was bad. It was the same old story away from home (Everton 2-0 onwards aside).

He has a lot of credit in the bank, but sooner or later he has to be judged on the present. This needs to be a major kick up the arse for him and the players.

Won't defend him today. He is leading a team this season which just isn't very good. There's mitigation and I'll always believe that - regardless of who we signed - the Isak thing was the rug being pulled for so many reasons. But ultimately he's still accountable and we just aren't getting better. I can't believe how bad that performance was today.

Adore him, he's a legend, but starting to wonder.

He's taken us to new levels and won us a trophy - he is a club legend through and through but you can't just can't excuse the absolutely clear as day lack of progress in his coaching game

The summer signings (Woltemade and Thiaw aside) have been shit. His lack of plan 'B' is nothing new and not exclusive to this season. Our away form is clearly nowhere near being fixed.

He is not the elite manager that is going to take us to the next level, I just don't see it. No amount of loyalty and deserved applauding of his achievements will change what a mess we are this season.

Played his bum boy Gordon despite his league form being a disgrace for a full calendar year, spent £55m on a Sunday morning player and £45m on a lad who can't get off the bench.

Not good enough.

Fuck, I just realised Ramsay was on the bench. That’s really fucking bad.

I can't say I have a deep tactical understanding of the game, and perhaps he has his reasons, but I'm at a loss as to what happened to our press, to the emphasis on winning second balls in the opposition half, to the courage to apply pressure constantly? Granted perhaps you can't do it every 3 days, but surely you can do it in games like today, or come up with a closer variation better than the passive, sleepwalking brand of football we've played for the majority of this season.

Saying nowt. Don't need to. Seems people are waking up and cutting through the toxic positivity. 👍

I still think your point was extreme but I get it. And to be fair to you that performance was nothing short of a disgrace and given you a full clip

The actual thing in wondering about is why we look like we lack energy all the time, and why other teams who have the same load as us don't. I do wonder if our pre season preparation is poor, I always watch our training videos and then look like a massive doss tbh
