I hear you, but I was including him for the buzz and belief he brought to the fanbase. A leader.

Howe won a cup...

I've said several times, as have others, so I'm not writing it all out yet again - I'm sick to the back teeth of having to explain the obvious over and over again tbh.

True but hes not doing himself any favours either. The lack of learning is baffling.

Out of order like - no need at all.

I do struggle at times with being within one of the most entitled and myopic fanbases going like aye.

To be fair KI, there isn't a single club in the league that wouldn't have sections of their fanbase questioning their manager after some of the performances and consistent repeated mistakes we've seen on the pitch this season, mitigating factors or not.

I respect your capacity to push back against it, but it's not inherent to NUFC.

Not to mention we’re not the only ones losing our best. Palace lost Eze. Next week we have Bournemouth and they lost like half their team last summer.

Brentford lost a load last summer as well. Players come and go all the time. It's how you react and evolve that matters.

Same crap. Story all season. We have regressed badly under Howe this season.

I've no idea if we are to trust Howe, treat this season as a write off and give him another chance next season or

Rip everything about and start afresh in the summer with a new manager.

Its really a difficult decision and either decision is a gamble either way.

That is BS mate, we've have 200m+ To spend and he decided to take over transfers and buy absolute shite.

Another club with a better manager and a real DOF would've took us a step up this season.

I just think that's total complete nonsense. It's a shit show this season because we had a one of the Top 5 strikers in the world who was the focal point in the attack, and the club fundamentally misjudged our ability to keep him. That left us shopping for a new focal point in a very thin market and shopping very late. We've ended up spending more than 50% of our budget on two players who are fundamentally probably panic buys.

I'd also adjust your expectations on what a new manager will be able to do. You're looking at a £80m-£100m net spend max this summer. And the people who are going to be attracted to a job at that level of spend are Iraola, Glasner etc. and potentially a bunch and up-and-coming coaches from the continent who have no trophies or pedigree to their name. I think you'd be mad swapping probably our most successful coach in modern times for that kind of choice.

再说一次,你是塑料人,无论你怎么看都无关紧要。你是足球的污点。

Little people with tiny ambitions, nothing ever changes.

I am in two minds at this point. Previous glory means he probably ought to survive this. He also deserves a real transfer window instead of this rubbish the club pulled last close season. Selling the best player and replacing them with midtable fodder and unproven players; an error that halted all of the club's positive momentum. However, in reality, if this level of form and performance continues even a month in lto next season with no Europe, he will have to be removed. There won't be any question at that point. If he is sacked during the season, options for a new manager will be limited and said manager won't be able to bring new players in.

There of side of me that thinks it would be more prudent to thank Mr. Howe for his services, release a glowing statement, and move on once the season ends.

He was part of that rubbish - he does not like to be challenged, he has his nephew (unqualified) buying players. He bought this dross, and now he does not pick that dross, 160 million worth.
Our tactics are so predictable and our match day management is zero. There is more to football than pressing unfortunately.

Will always love Eddie for getting us silverware...but it's small club mentality to hold on to a manager when it's clearly long-gone stagnant. And it has. Be honest with yourselves.

We've had epic managers, lost them, and got others. Eddie has written himself into NUFC history. He rightfully sits at the head of the table, with Keegan, Robson, Rafa.

But he's ran out of ideas, or surprises. No one person is bigger than the club.

I honestly don't see how another Summer transfer period under him fixes anything.

Happy to be proven wrong, of course.

Excellent post. Completely agree with it.

Those with their blinkers on now suggesting Howe just needs a summer rebuild of the team he fucking spent £800m to build, as they can no longer suggest he just needs time on the training ground… Think I’ll pass on him spending £100m on Curtis Jones and Conor Gallagher thanks.

And the suggestion this is like two seasons ago is nonsense. We finished 7th and were incredibly unlucky to miss out on Europe due to Man Utd spawning an FA Cup.

Howe wanted Strand Larson as well, who was hauled off today for being absolutely shite, like he is

It's hardly a one off poor performance. You're only kidding yourself at this stage if you genuinely believe that. That's why it was our 20th defeat of the season. Take your head out the sand.

We have been here before.. and he sorted it.  Rather than calling for someone's head how about waiting until after the summer and actually getting behind the guy until then.

The fanbase is imperfect but the evidence says Eddie is almost certainly done. Both things can be true, it's not either or.

Where did I set up that premise like?

The entirety of the Eddie Howe out portion of our fanbase have come to the conclusion that he is the thing that needs to change. I think that's mental for reasons I've made time and again.

So the whole team didn't try today?  Solid argument.

Palace started a weakened side, played mid-week - we should have been at them from the off.  Yet we lacked any intensity - it felt like a pre-season game.

It's interesting when I hear people talking about Eddie giving everything for the club, as if to defend him to a large degree.

I think that unintentionally highlights the point - if what we're seeing is Eddie's best, thats kind of a damning indictment isn't it.

We need a manager whose best is not buying overpaid dross in the transfer market, obsessively playing the same formation, being unable to coach a decent team to control games, I could go on.

I'm grateful for Eddie, but come on, it's time. Even if we did well in our remaining games.

Think a fair number of squad have checked out. Think he may need to call that out and play the kids. It will however mean we lose value on them but the remaining players may need a message. Or we just limp through anyway tbh hardly matters at this point

He doesn't even do that..

Have to say, that's a diabolical result when we look at the context.

Palace played just a few days ago.

Palace have a far smaller squad than ours, so realistically should have been knackered.

Palace have a horrific home record.

We have had 3 weeks to prepare specifically for this game.

We lost yet again in the dying minutes.

Again, didn't watch so won't comment much further, but just on the surface alone, that's a really bad one for Howe. Nothing at all has changed.

If he wants to stay he has to give us something to cheer about. Honestly the bar is so low with our fanbase if he tried a none 433 formation and tried to integrate Woltemade he could get the fans back behind him.

give me a season with the forwards he wanted rather then what he got, I know its over with social media bollocks but seeing Howe at another club with money is gonna kill me
