And obviously right now the confidence is also shot. We live in a bit of a bubble, this does happen to most teams just pick any and they have the same issues. Villa our likely rivals missed Tielemans, Kamara, Mcginn, Onana for long parts. Everton have had injuries too and afcon.

But some of our backup players are truly shite. Some of our starters are as well TBH.

This is his primary target, Eddie has personally been tracking him for years. Rumours are that once we sell Elanga the funds will be used to sign this guy. Our summer 2026 transfers have screwed us over big time Last summer transfer window is what has me feeling so down and dejected about the club at the moment. Being constantly told we can't afford to make a mistake in the transfer market due to PSR and more or less making mistakes with every signing bar Thiaw. Just don't see the spend required due to PSR, don't see Eddie changing the players he wants to target and don't see how the situation is going to get better and just see us falling behind in a way that we can't recover from. I mean we look like a relegation team, and that's with all the new players bedded in.

Big Geordie
Howe 'not us at our best, was fairly even. They were in good form and looked more of a threat'. Jesse Pinkman
Atleast a new manager may get something out of Woltemade, Wissa or Elanga. No way we can sell them in the summer unless we make a huge loss

Antipode23
"Trying to find the answers". He acts like it's some profound undiscoverable mystery why we've been dire all season. There are answers (or at least options worth trying) staring him in the face and yet he persists in doing the same thing over, and over, and over again. To then act mystified is bloody hard to take tbh.

I say that as someone who is massively appreciative of him as a person and what he’s done here. Short memories like. The shit show in the summer ended up with a group obviously out of thier depth trying to salvage the window and they did a poor job. Nobody wants Howe 'spending money', we need a proper system sorted out for the summer regardless of who's in charge. Jaqen
It's felt a bit doomed ever since that Barca second half. There's been absolutely zero reaction from the team. 3 identical pitiful performances back to back where everyone just looks like their going through the motions and desperate for the season to end. Reckon it's going to be a leave by mutual consent job at the end of the season.

I think he's pretty unpopular however I can see the vision personally. That sponsorship deal to me was major as his mentality is the opposite of Silverstone's, plus if he's got more decision making ability than Eales had as the athletic reported then that's another major step forward. No worries! I’m still surprised he’s here, bit surreal, but he will do everything he can to advance the club commercially and will lean on Wilson for football decisions to guide his own. He will have respect for Eddie and his work ethic, knowledge and application, but the results need to be there obviously. Finishing lower table will impact our ability to attract commercial partners, hampering growth efforts. Interesting times and glad I don’t run this club. Certainly a good number of players are trying hard, they’re just very limited and their confidence is fucked. Desperate for the season to end maybe. I wouldn’t blame them too much TBH. That's how I saw it too. I think the chances they created were better, better final ball and a bit more confidence about them in decent positions. We grafted, huffed and puffed but again our final ball/shot was gash as it has been all season. I didn't see us get completely out played like some are suggesting
