I dunno if they have a personal beef perhaps from burnout of hearing the same voice and press conferences for 5 years if it's their job to attend them. But it seems they are done with Howe and want him gone and have been trying to "ask the tough questions" despite positioning themselves as fans and only wanting what's best for the club. If at a prior presser Howe made comments along the lines of "I won't play anyone who doesn't fully want to be here or play at 100%", then surely the public touting by Gordon's camp effectively tells you that Howe should not play him by his own ethos. I don't see how anyone can argue otherwise? I also don't understand people acting offended on the coaches behalf. Howe isn't your mate and the journo said nothing truly controversial or insulting. Disagree entirely. I don't watch their videos much, but their job isn't to kiss Eddie's arse, it's to ask the difficult questions. I’d like to believe he just messed his words up, but watching the Geordie Journos over the last few months, I feel like they’ve all been riling each other up, and the attention they’re getting / their Patreon etc is going to their head. They think they’re the voice of the crowd or something… and they’re coming across more and more like self professed “voices of the people” every day, validated by the over reactionary, thick as mince, YouTube comments section every weekend. But when you’re in a press conference, you’re not a fan, you’re not there to let your emotions and feelings bleed into it… you’re there to ask questions and report facts. I def think Ryder has nailed his colours to the mast regarding Howe lately. Howe in his pre Brighton conference mentioned committed players, so think the sentiment of the question regarding Gordon was perfectly legitimate.
