I didn't mention his injury. Did you forget that your original point was about how devastating playing extra games is for us?

...because playing too many games leads to exhaustion, and exhaustion leads to injuries, which further stretch an already thin squad. Didn't think I'd have to spell that bit out for you like

Exactly. Which is why I thought those choices were odd.

Aside from a few enjoyable CL nights, this season has been excruciating. I'm too scunnered at the moment to even begin to figure out how I feel about Eddie taking the club forward next season, all I know is that sacking him or keeping him isn't going to be the silver bullet, the squad is a complete mess and the custodians who are supposed to be running the club have been stepping on rakes since Amanda and Mehrdad left.

Remember that today was supposed to be our 'most winnable' fixture for a while. Looking at the fixture list, this is going to get a whole lot worse before it gets better, I don't think we've hit rock bottom yet, I have a horrible feeling rock bottom will be 22nd March.

Nah, you went further than that and said that everyone else rotates more than us and implied that we should've sacked it off, both demonstrably false.

The fixtures coming up don't look too bad if you only look at the league,

Man Utd (h)

Chelsea (a)

Sunderland (h)

Crystal Palace (a)

2 hardish games but not impossible, followed by 2 (on paper) easyier games but not bankers. Any other season I'd hope for 6 or 7 points from that.

I was taking the City and Barça games into account, whilst they're not league games, they're games we're likely to lose and sap morale even further.

I'm dreading the mackem game, they're a horrible team to play against and we'll struggle to break them down

I wouldn't trust this team to get a win at Selhurst Park either

he must be mentally exhausted.

needs to fuck off abroad with his family immediately after the last game of the season and not come back for a month.

leave his phone at home.

let the recruitment team get on with things.

Yeah totally agree, just because they are winnable on paper doesn't mean I think we'll win them. I'm still hoping we can turn it around though.

still confused by his line up against Qarabag and the amount of minutes certain players got through.

He spelled it out in his post-match interview on Prime: he thought it was crucial to win the game in order to reignite the home form. It might have worked out had his goalie not provided an assist to Everton's CF from four yards out today.

Only Spurs with a worse record in the last 6? Not exactly an easy set of fixtures. But the performances have been crap in the league for a long while.

I thought there had been plenty of positives to take from the wins of late and even the defeat at City. I genuinely thought we were slowly turning the corner. But that performance today was like Groundhog Day. Seen it time and again this season.

Lacking ideas, quality and cutting edge in attack. Whilst defending like cunts at the same time.

Despite the way some go on I think he's been given an easy ride given the league form/performances. Even if it can be partly justified by injuries and the amount of games played the performances are nowhere near good enough. Summer was a shambles despite the fact it felt like it had been rescued late with the signings of Nick and Wissa. Wouldn't shed a tear at either leaving in the summer tbh.

If the club won't play the wages that the likes of Mbeumo, Cunha, Pedro, etc want then why the fuck were we targeting them? Find these players before they join the league. An 81 year old Graham Carr would do a better job than these frauds in charge.

Wor Mandy was the sliding doors moment for sure, we miss that buffer with a genuine connection to every level of the club. Worth her weight in gold and sorely missed.

I don't think were very good across the entire squad, once we lost Isak we lost the fear we "used" to install in teams

Were a run of the mill premier league team, won't go down, prob will go up in time but that's a long long long way off
