See we've released Yannick Toure. Thought he was meant to be decent

Astonishingly, so too has Florent Indalecio, the bricklayer from Australia who Bruce did a lie about during a presser.

Tbh, I’m not sure there was all that much hype around Toure. There does however seem to be around Anderson and Bobby Clarke. If those two fail, we know for sure our academy is shit. We already know that anyway ofcourse but there we would have even more evidence.

Tbf, I've got AC from the (late) 2000s and Dummett from 2010s. What a pair.

Both in reality are fucking abysmal in the grande scheme of things in terms of top ability. Our academy is atrocious and that’s down to not even non league level of scouting, coaching, and facilities. And it’s been that way for decades, the likes of Gazza, Beardsley et al come through because street football was still a thing back then and they were naturally talented. Today they wouldn’t make it, both have said that btw and Waddle too. That’s scary!

Abraham would make Brighton a top 10 side. They should blow whatever budget they have on him.

100% - he'd be a great purchase for them.  Reckon he walks into pretty much any team outside the top 6 and improves them a lot.

He’s at least on par with the group underneath, just can’t see someone like Everton, Villa, Leeds paying £30m or whatever for him when they have DCL, Watkins and Bamford. Brighton, Palace or Wolves should be throwing everything at him. If we didn’t have Wilson we’d be in there too.

He’d elevate them to another level, pretty much like us. 20-40m, he’d be worth it at either scale. I’ve rated him since I heard Rafa was first after him and did some Jimenez type based YouTube scouting of him, seems a good character too and ambitious.

Why wouldn’t we sign him even with having Wilson? Our next striking option is either Joelinton, Gayle or Carroll ffs.

Wilson also has regular injuries. Relying on one striker is why we nearly ended up in a relegation battle.

How many purples do you want in attack?

Seriously though, not many clubs have two £30m level strikers beneath the elite clubs.

We wouldn’t. Wilson was £20m and Joelinton should be flogged to make way for Abraham.

It’s ambition, so it clearly won’t happen - but there is no reason why we should accept not going for Abraham because we already have one striker.
