Visited Wolverhampton once and thought ‘fuck this’.

I always kind of liked it as an away game - I went to a pre season friendly down there in 2002 and went in the Wolves supporters’ club near the ground and it was decent crack.

The FA Cup match down there six months later couldn’t have been more different mind - there was bother in the car park after the match.  Still, a visit to Molineux is far better than most of the flat pack stadiums around the county.

I have to say, it’s one of my worst. Other than a decent desi pub pre match, it don’t enjoy it at all.

lasts seasons topped the lot

The industrial-estate flat packs of the 90s are always high up the list for me - Smoggies, Derby, Bolton, Stoke - absolutely soulless.  With the added frisson at Stoke and the smoggies of the local attempting to kick your head in.

Away End down the side of the pitch was shite as well. Was much better behind the goal

People whinge about SJP but Wolves is shite. Impossible to make a racket.

They’re so fucking shite.

Bolton was decent as you got the full end behind the goal. Same with Wigan, always attracted the charva element though.

Wigan is fucking god awful too.  At least most of the flat packers were at proper clubs.

Aye proper soulless shithole. I went the last time we played there under Rafa, we won 0-2 midweek. Just a pure dark and dingy shithole.

I mean I can't believe that the club released all the media stuff with Trippier talking about how he'd agreed to join them because of the manager, only for them to sack the aforementioned manager the next day . He's every right to be pissed off.

Doesn't bode well. New manager might not fancy him and I can't see him enjoying being on the bench in the Championship. Despite what some people say on here he's still a good player.

Surprised one of the new 3 didn't take a punt.

yeah, I think defensively he's mostly done at PL level, but he should still completely dominate games on the ball in the championship whilst being perfectly fine defensively.

Think it was a really good move for him tbh with a 2-year contract, but they've really fucked him around already.

From a legal perspective - how could he even do that?

Contract hasn't technically started. He's not being paid by them. It's not even like they can say he's worth x amount of money and they'd be able to sell him. Guessing the club are trying to make amends or are actually happy to do this as they back their new manager.
