Kieran Trippier: to join Wolves on a free (various)

Recommended Posts

Was watching this with a few Man Utd fans and they were fuming with Tripps. Sounds like a job well done.

Most of his legs are gone, but he has a habit of coming back when you think hes finished.

Pop this in your favoured AI image generator:

"A surreal digital art piece of an octopus with several legs snapped off, featuring the head of footballer Kieran Trippier, high detail, cinematic lighting."

You'd give him a new year three contract and sign Ramsdale, with Osula getting the number 9 shirt off the back of last night.

You'd be hard pushed to find anyone that disagrees, bud (not the horse, obviously).

when you see him play like that you see what we’ve missed for the last couple of years or so really. Everything goes through him and he always plays it forward.

Lush to see him getting so vocal from the bench. Would be great to have him around the club when his legs finally fall off.

Tiger Tiger or Floritas?

Kieran Trippier on NUFC future... "The reality is my contract is up at the end of the season, but I'm not thinking about that. I'm just thinking about tomorrow & helping the club get to where they want to be. If I do that, I've done my job. I'm not looking beyond that.

"When I leave, I'll know I've helped the club. There's loads of possibilities (what could happen). Football is a strange game. Me & the manager will have a talk in the next couple of weeks"

Tempted to give him another year, more than good enough as a rotation option

At a much reduced wage he is not worth the 100k a week, closer to 40k would match his role if we do sign him.

I think there will be a reasonably high turnover of players in the summer and that doesn’t feel like Howe’s style. So depending who goes and who stays. I can see this happening.

I think we should move on from him, mind. He has been great. But he is on big money, gets niggly injuries semi-regularly and his legs have really gone the last season or two.

I’m not sure he is suited to playing full back in a Howe system nowadays. Look at the difference when we can leave Hall and Tino high and wide on their own, matched up man to man.

If he takes a pay cut there's no reason he can't move to fill the Krafth role. He has had a strong second half of the season.

I think it may depend if we do get back into europe we will always need a rotation option and cover for the first choice but not playing in Europe I can see the argument to save the wages and let him go somewhere to play more often possibly in a slower league.

If we do though especially as you would think wages will already be saved with targett, Lascelles (on loan out of contract in the summer) and possibly schar and Krafth that we can afford to keep his experience and leadership around for another year on much reduced minutes/certain games.

Two goals were down to him. Just slow, rafinha's pace, the second he shat himself as he couldn't keep up in the area
