Miggys First Goal
Are we really getting rid of Wood so soon?
Kid Icarus
I wouldn't get rid of Manquillo like. Krafth's been great but who's to say part of that's not because Manquillo's been pushing him in training? He's also just about as comfortable at LB so can fill in there if needed. Think it depends how Lewis does in pre-season tbh. If he does well we'll have 2 options either side + Dummett. I honestly think with shifting players it will ultimately come down to who there is a market for.

I don’t think so, we saw last season he could be part of a team who can grind out results. He’ll be utilised in early cup games you’d assume as well. Now we just need Eriksen, Diaby and a quality striker Ship out: Darlow Clark Fernandez Lewis (loan maybe) Manquillo Ritchie Hendrick Gayle Wood Murphy (Anderson comes in) Matty Longstaff Agree with most of this. I think Murphy will be kept on as he is reasonable cover. Not sure Howe will show Wood the door just yet as we have no other backup! It is going to be a really challenge to shift that lot, so they have their work cut out! Most of those players seem like reasonable people, so hopefully the pull of regular football will be enough to see them go but as it stands, there does not seem to much noise about many of them leaving! Shifting them significantly reduces our outgoings which will give us further FFP flexibility moving forwards.
Tiotes Witch Doctor
Would rather Lewis challenging Targett than loaned out tbh.

Keep Lewis and Longstaff as well.

Dr Jinx
3 goalkeepers and then for each position you want cover for each position. The defence is quite straight forward Trippier/Krafth Schär/Lascelles Botman/Burn Targett/Dummett (or Lewis) Midfield is not so straight forward because each one is very different. There’s essentially 2 replacements for 3 positions. Bruno, Joelinton, Shelvey / Willock, Longstaff Just get the feeling it’s square pegs in round holes in midfield, especially Willock. Up front ASM/Elliott Wilson/Wood Fraser/Almiron etc
WillingtonMag
I think Wood will get a few goals this season off the bench tbh

McCormick
If Willock could sort out his passing, he’d be a nailed on starter imo. Currently though he seems like a player more suited to counter-attacking play or as a decent impact sub.

Bags of running, especially against already tired legs. And a good idea of what he actually needed to do, but still, he was lucky his cross deflected perfectly into Bruno's path. Could've gone anywhere after hitting the defender.

Get those three players and 7th place should be the bar.
Sean
Really excited about this signing. Really excited for the future of the club. (on a side note I'm really happy not to hate the club and to wish nothing but bad upon us as I did only a year ago too) Now I'm confident Paqueta and Diaby are in the clubs sights, along with a striker hopefully of similar quality. Whether we get them is a different matter but I have faith in the calibre of player we are trying, and managing in some cases, to attract. I said I fancy us but would be happy with 7th, £120 million is probably only 3 or 4 players really isn't it. If the Ekiteke deal goes through that's 30-40 million acounted for already. Still 2 month left of the window? Be more surprised if we didn't spend 120 million than if we did.

Guest HTT II
Looking forward to seeing him play, hopefully he will be as big a flop as Bruno has been.
Conjo
Really exciting signing. Can't wait to see him in action. Will be interesting to see how our defence looks like after a few games. Can see arguments for playing him together with Schar, Burn & Lascelles.
AyeDubbleYoo
Bit harsh on Burn if he gets the instant bin, but I suppose it's cutthroat when you want to progress quickly.
Conjo
It would be harsh on Schar too tbf In terms of partnership I could see Howe at least trying him with Lascelles too as his strengths compliments Botman more than the others.
