I suppose the only real stat for a striker is how many times they put the ball in the net though. I could imagine somebody like Andy Cole’s stats might look similar in terms of his overall game and nobody had any complaints there.
SUPERTOON
I mention it quite often but if we are really spending big on a striker I’d just attempt to put it on Abraham.

He sounds exactly like Gary Lineker - only any good if his first touch is a finish.

Aye, he’s the one. He has it all and is proven at all levels now.
Guest HTT II
From the little I’ve seen of Nunez, he seems one paced, makes some poor off the ball positional take ups and runs down wider areas, but seems deadly in the box.

r0cafella
Let’s take all of this with a pinch of salt, I doubt the gaffa would want anyone who was woeful in possession.

McCormick
Isak passes the eye test in general play but last I checked he was on less goals than Joselu in the Spanish league. For a similar price Abraham looks the more effective / less risky option for the PL.
Rafalove
Aye but Joselu is mint in La Liga isn’t he? Was in the tea of the year not too long ago alongside Messi.
Rafalove
I’m actually a bit surprised we haven’t add two or three top quality scouts to improve our network.

I'm kind of expecting those type of new faces to come in once DOF is finally sorted. Hopefully Brighton and Newcastle can come to an agreement soon so he can get started ASAP on hiring scouts and setting up a team to do these deals in the summer. Seems he’ll have more to do with the academy side of things. Hope that’s it the case though, he seems to have done a good job in the recruitment side with Brighton. STM
Also, its about scouting networks. It's alot about which scouts trust other scouts. I doubt there is much of the old school going to watch a player they fancy. It's more about collating data on hundreds of players and creating a portfolio which can be referred to. He's struggled with form and injuries this season, but last year he became the highest scoring Swedish player in a La Liga season, beating Ibrahimovic who then played for that Barcelona team. Would be an incredible story for me if we signed him, having seen him break through at AIK and said back when he was 16 that he's someone we should sign. Grew up in the building next to where my grandparents lived as well.

The College Dropout
Still want Nunez. We aren’t getting the striker that will tick all the boxes. We’ll play on the counter a lot especially away. there were big doubts about Torres when he went to Liverpool too.
